Financial Highlights: A Snapshot
Strategic Acquisitions and MedTech Focus
A key highlight of Entero's strategy is its aggressive yet disciplined approach to acquisitions, particularly in the MedTech segment. The company successfully closed the acquisition of Anand Chemiceutics, a leading diagnostic and MedTech solutions provider, alongside Anand Medilink Pvt. Ltd., Ace Cardiopathy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and Bioaide Technologies Pvt. Ltd. These acquisitions are expected to significantly bolster Entero's presence in the high-growth MedTech market.
Management anticipates that the annualized revenue from the MedTech segment will cross INR 1,000 crore in the next financial year. This strategic pivot towards MedTech is driven by its higher margin profile for distributors compared to the pharmaceutical market. The company expects these acquisitions to contribute positively to its gross margin by 70-90 basis points and EBITDA margin by 50-75 basis points on a pro forma basis. Entero's ability to leverage its pan-India distribution network for MedTech products, coupled with its existing relationships with healthcare companies, creates a strong synergistic advantage.
Operational Excellence and Financial Discipline
Entero Healthcare continues to focus on operational excellence and financial discipline. The company achieved its highest organic like-for-like growth rate of 17.1% year-to-date, demonstrating its ability to grow faster than the industry. This growth is supported by an expanding operational footprint, now catering to over 97,600 retail pharmacies and more than 3,000 hospitals across 505 districts in India, serviced by 131 strategically located warehouses and handling over 89,200 SKUs from more than 3,100 healthcare manufacturers.
Working capital optimization remains a key priority. The Net Working Capital (NWC) days improved to 61 on a like-for-like basis in Q3 FY26, down from 63 days in Q2 FY26. This efficiency contributed to a positive operating cash flow (OCF) of INR 49 crore in the quarter. Management is confident of achieving an OCF of INR 100 crore for the full FY26 and maintaining an EBITDA margin north of 4%. The Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) improved to 14.8%, and Return on Equity (ROE) (excluding the one-off labor code impact) increased to 12.3%, reflecting enhanced capital efficiency.
Future Outlook and Management Commentary
Looking ahead, Entero Healthcare is poised for continued growth. The company plans to consolidate its recent acquisitions over the next two to three quarters, focusing on integration, margin improvement, and cash flow generation before pursuing new acquisition opportunities, potentially in FY28. This strategic pause will ensure that the acquired businesses are fully integrated and contribute optimally to the company's performance. Management expressed bullishness on the MedTech segment, viewing it as a unique opportunity in a large market with a clear right to win.
The company's proprietary technology platform, Entero Direct, plays a crucial role in its scalable business model, offering real-time inventory visibility, efficient order management, and tailored customer engagement tools. This platform, combined with a strong distribution network and a customer-centric approach, reinforces Entero's competitive moat. Entero Healthcare is committed to leveraging its scale, technology, and synergistic adjacencies to drive efficiencies and profitability, ensuring sustained value creation for its stakeholders.
