LTM Q1 FY27: Margin Expansion, Stable Bookings, and a Clearer AI Operating Model
Ask Iris
LTM Limited reported a steady start to FY27, with growth holding up in a mixed demand environment and margins expanding even after wage hikes. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, consolidated revenue rose to ₹11,608 crore, up 18.0% year-on-year and 2.8% quarter-on-quarter. In USD terms, revenue was $1,223.5 million with 0.3% constant currency sequential growth and 6.4% constant currency growth year-on-year.
Profitability improved alongside revenue. EBIT margin expanded to 15.5%, up 40 bps sequentially and 120 bps year-on-year. Net profit stood at ₹1,468.6 crore, up 17.1% year-on-year. Management attributed the margin improvement mainly to operational efficiencies from the New Horizons program, with forex benefits and wage hike impact broadly offsetting each other.
Order inflow remained stable at 6.65 billion on a trailing twelve months basis. While the quarterly constant currency growth was modest, management described the quarter as an early proof point of its AI-centric strategy, and guided for organic growth to accelerate from Q2, subject to macro and geopolitical stability.
The quarter in numbers: revenue up, margins improving
The company’s operational momentum showed up more clearly in profitability and execution indicators than in headline sequential growth. EBIT in rupees was ₹1,799.3 crore, up 27.9% year-on-year, while PAT margin came in at 12.7%. Cash and investments were reported at about $1.5 billion (₹15,021 crore) as of June 30, 2026.
In cash flows, operating cash flow was ₹1,156.7 crore in Q1 FY27 and free cash flow was ₹921.8 crore. Management also flagged that cash conversion ratios were lower sequentially, and indicated that normalizing for a one-time gain would have improved the ratios.
Segment view: Financial Services rebounds sequentially, Consumer sees a small dip
From Q1 FY27, LTM reorganised its reporting into four industry segments: Financial Services, Consumer, Technology and Services, and Production. In rupee terms, Financial Services remained the largest segment at ₹3,950.9 crore of revenue in the quarter. Consumer followed at ₹3,086.8 crore, then Technology and Services at ₹2,315.8 crore, and Production at ₹2,254.5 crore.
Management highlighted that Financial Services returned to sequential growth, delivering 3.2% sequential growth in constant currency, although it was down 2.5% year-on-year in constant currency. Technology and Services grew 3.4% sequentially and 10.0% year-on-year in constant currency.
Consumer was the only segment with a minor sequential decline in constant currency, down 0.7%, though it grew 18.2% year-on-year. The CEO attributed the sequential softness to delayed ramp-ups and delayed projects in India and the Middle East, and also pointed to shipment and hardware constraints affecting a large India program.
Production declined 5.7% sequentially in constant currency, which management linked to a seasonal falloff in pass-through or reselling type activity.
AI strategy: from creation to deployment, with BlueVerse at the center
Management repeatedly framed FY27 as a shift from the AI creation narrative to an AI deployment phase. The company said it now operates through three lines of business: iRun, iTransform, and Business AI. This sits under BlueVerse, which management described as an ecosystem combining AI-led offerings, domain-specific small language models, a library of prebuilt agents, partnerships, and future-ready talent.
A key data point was the scale of AI work already contributing. The CEO said that AI revenue across Creative AI, Industrial AI, and Business AI together contributed approximately $150 million on a quarterly run-rate basis. The company did not disclose a split between these AI categories or between the three lines of business, and management said Enterprise AI is increasingly pervasive across delivery and therefore harder to isolate.
In Q1, the company also announced multiple BlueVerse launches: BlueVerse iRun for integrated operations, BlueVerse Databricks for data transformation, and BlueVerse RightLogic for cybersecurity remediation. It also introduced BlueVerse Currency, described as an outcome-based pricing construct for AI services.
The company also announced AI 1000, a workforce initiative aimed at building a pool of 1000 plus Forward Deployed Engineers. In the follow-on call, management indicated the initial skilling for this cohort is expected between Q2 and Q3.
Corporate actions and other disclosures: Randstad deal pending and Voicing.AI valuation gain
A major corporate development is the proposed acquisition related to Randstad’s digital subsidiaries in parts of Europe and Australia. The company disclosed that the transaction is at an enterprise valuation up to EUR 160 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis, and remains subject to definitive agreements and regulatory approvals. Management said applications have been submitted and closure is expected around end of Q2 or early Q3.
Separately, the company disclosed a fair value gain of ₹197.8 crore in other income related to convertible instruments held in Voicing.AI, Inc., which were measured at fair value through profit or loss. The group also converted these instruments into equity during the quarter.
On the concall, the CFO noted that SG and A efficiencies have improved structurally, while the CEO clarified that the reduction in sales and support headcount was driven by productivity gains in enabling and support functions through internal AI adoption.
Takeaways
LTM’s Q1 FY27 performance shows a combination of steady growth, improving margins, and a clearer articulation of how AI is being packaged, sold, and delivered. While sequential growth remains modest, management expects organic growth to improve from Q2, supported by a stable order book and easing of earlier productivity-linked pricing transitions in top accounts.
The key items to track through the next few quarters are the ramp-up of delayed India programs, normalization of subcontracting costs after vendor consolidation transitions, and the timing and integration impact of the proposed Randstad acquisition. If execution stays on track, the company’s focus on AI deployment and operational efficiency could keep margins resilient even as it pursues faster growth.
