Pakka Limited, a prominent player in the sustainable packaging sector, has reported a significant turnaround in its financial performance for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3 FY26). After navigating a challenging initial half, the company has demonstrated a robust rebound in profitability and operational efficiency, signaling a positive trajectory for the upcoming periods. The consolidated revenue for the India business stood at 99.64 crore, with a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of 12.75 crore. This performance marks a substantial improvement compared to the previous quarter, although it was slightly lower than the corresponding quarter in FY25, which recorded a revenue of 111.44 crore and a PBT of 17.46 crore.
The company's performance was primarily driven by its 'Wrap & Carry' segment, which contributed 82.80 crore to the total revenue, representing approximately 83.09% of the India business. This segment also posted a healthy PBT of 15.02 crore. The 'Food Services' segment, while smaller, generated 16.84 crore in revenue, accounting for 16.91% of the total, but recorded a PBT loss of -2.26 crore. Management highlighted that the B2C revenue for the first three quarters of FY26 surged by an impressive 80% year-over-year, significantly improving gross margins. This growth is attributed to strategic initiatives, including the addition of five new B2C channels in Q3, with plans for five more in Q4, and the introduction of high-margin products like clamshells and meal trays with lids.
Pakka Limited's strategic roadmap for the quarter focused on several key developments, including the stabilization of its PM3 operations and the advancement of Project Jagriti. The PM3 unit, which underwent capacity expansion and technology upgrades, has achieved stability, with management anticipating a significant rise in productivity and improved product quality in the coming quarters. Project Jagriti, a major expansion initiative, is also progressing steadily, with the new power plant and recovery sections expected to commence production by the end of March or early April 2026. The new paper machine under Project Jagriti is projected to be near commissioning in the first quarter of the next financial year, marking a crucial milestone for the company's future manufacturing capabilities.
In a notable strategic shift, Pakka Limited has decided to temporarily pause its international expansion activities in the US and Guatemala, specifically the Ka Wok project.
