Themis Medicare Q1 FY27: Profit rebounds on one-off gains as core business works through headwinds

Consolidated net revenue in Q1 FY27 was 86.96 crore, compared with 97.58 crore in Q1 FY26.

Q1 FY27 EBITDA was -52.42 crore, while PAT was 24.61 crore mainly due to profit on sale of shares of 92.95 crore and share of profit from associates and JV of 2.59 crore.

In Q1 FY27, Hospital contributed 56% of revenue, Trade 21%, and API, co-marketing and others 23%.

The company stated that headwinds in the API business caused contraction in the top line, but management also said the API and institution business look promising with visibility of healthy recovery in the financial year.

The presentation reports R and D spend of 7 crore in Q1 FY27 and management stated R and D investments were around 8% of revenue.

The company stated Phase I expansion into CIS, Latin America and GCC within 1 to 3 years, and Phase II entry into regulated markets such as EU and USA within 3 to 5 years.
