Why did Aurionpro report an operating cash outflow?
Aurionpro reported an operating cash outflow because working-capital movements exceeded operating profit before those movements. Profit before tax, including discontinued operations, was Rs 113.4819 crore in the half year ended 30 September 2026. After depreciation, amortisation, interest, foreign-exchange and other non-cash adjustments, operating profit before working-capital changes was Rs 132.5731 crore.
Working capital then absorbed Rs 196.7439 crore, leaving cash used in operations of Rs 64.1708 crore. Net income taxes paid of Rs 15.4161 crore increased the outflow to Rs 79.5869 crore. This cash result differed from the Rs 95.2387 crore profit after tax from continuing operations recorded in the same six-month period.
The largest working-capital item was the Rs 228.6630 crore increase in trade receivables and other assets. The cash-flow statement treats an increase in these balances as a use of cash. The next disclosures should clarify whether balances represented by receivables, other assets and inventories convert into collections or reduce after 30 September 2026. Aurionpro also said it will monitor final central and state rules under the four Labour Codes, which remain to be notified, and evaluate the resulting effects when required.
