Dixon Technologies (India) Limited reported consolidated total income of Rs 21,862.37 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, a 42% increase from a year earlier. However, Dixon Technologies’ consolidated profit after tax (PAT) fell 45% to Rs 410.87 crore from Rs 745.70 crore, as total expenses rose and other income declined.
What did Dixon Technologies report for the September 2026 quarter?
Dixon Technologies reported higher consolidated income but lower profit for the quarter ended 30 September 2026. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 21,793.64 crore from Rs 14,855.04 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2025, while total income, including other income, increased to Rs 21,862.37 crore from Rs 15,350.78 crore.
The company’s consolidated highlights described revenue from operations including other income as Rs 21,863 crore, up 42% year on year. The detailed statement showed that other income was Rs 68.73 crore in the September 2026 quarter, down from Rs 495.74 crore a year earlier. Dixon Technologies reports one operating segment, Electronics Goods, and therefore did not provide product-level segment revenue or profit figures.
Dixon Technologies also recorded a sequential increase in revenue from operations from Rs 15,547.66 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Yet PAT fell from Rs 717.83 crore in the June 2026 quarter to Rs 410.87 crore in the September 2026 quarter. Basic earnings per share, not annualised, were Rs 67.44 in the September quarter, compared with Rs 123.60 a year earlier and Rs 118.00 in the preceding quarter.
Why did Dixon Technologies’ profit fall despite revenue growth?
Dixon Technologies’ filing shows that expenses grew alongside revenue while other income was lower than a year earlier, but it does not attribute the quarterly PAT decline to one specific factor. Total expenses increased to Rs 21,332.83 crore in the September 2026 quarter from Rs 14,428.34 crore in the September 2025 quarter. The resulting profit before the group’s share of joint-venture profit and tax fell to Rs 529.54 crore from Rs 922.44 crore.
Cost of materials consumed, the largest expense line, rose to Rs 20,679.03 crore from Rs 13,504.06 crore in the prior-year quarter. Employee benefits expense increased to Rs 215.72 crore from Rs 196.91 crore, while depreciation and amortisation rose to Rs 110.06 crore from Rs 96.28 crore. Finance costs declined to Rs 25.95 crore from Rs 38.35 crore, and other expenses were Rs 292.20 crore versus Rs 295.45 crore.
Dixon Technologies’ share of profit from joint ventures was Rs 2.81 crore in the September 2026 quarter, compared with Rs 1.15 crore a year before. That took reported profit before tax to Rs 532.35 crore, down from Rs 923.59 crore. Total tax expense fell to Rs 121.48 crore from Rs 177.89 crore, but the lower tax charge did not offset the Rs 391.24 crore decline in profit before tax.
How did Dixon Technologies perform in the first half of 2026-27?
Dixon Technologies’ first-half consolidated results increased year on year despite the decline in the September quarter. For the half year ended 30 September 2026, total income rose to Rs 37,938.32 crore from Rs 28,188.12 crore in the corresponding prior-year period. PAT increased to Rs 1,128.70 crore from Rs 1,025.72 crore, while profit before tax rose to Rs 1,401.33 crore from Rs 1,289.11 crore.
The half-year increase reflected the quarter ended 30 June 2026, when Dixon Technologies reported PAT of Rs 717.83 crore, compared with Rs 410.87 crore in the September quarter. Revenue from operations for the six months was Rs 37,341.30 crore, against Rs 27,690.70 crore a year earlier. The company’s consolidated highlights described half-year revenue including other income of Rs 37,938 crore as 35% higher year on year.
Comparisons with earlier periods are affected by the transfer of Dixon Technologies’ lighting business to Lightanium Technologies Private Limited from 1 August 2025. The company transferred the lighting undertaking and shares in Dixon Technologies Solutions Private Limited under a joint-venture arrangement. Dixon Technologies and Signify Innovations India Limited each hold 50% of Lightanium Technologies after the transactions.
What unresolved matters are included in Dixon Technologies’ results?
Dixon Technologies disclosed that a subsidiary had recognised Rs 1,110.06 crore of Production Linked Incentive, or PLI, income that remained outstanding and receivable at 30 September 2026. Formal determination and disbursement of the incentive by the Project Management Agency, or PMA, were pending. The subsidiary also recognised a Rs 576.95 crore liability payable to its customer under the related arrangement.
Management said the subsidiary recognised incremental PLI income after assessing that eligible revenues had exceeded prescribed annual ceiling limits and that other eligible applicants in the relevant target segment had not fully used their ceilings. Management said independent legal advice supported the subsidiary’s eligibility once prescribed scheme conditions were met. The statutory auditor drew attention to the pending PMA determination and disbursement, while issuing an unmodified review conclusion dated 30 October 2026.
Dixon Technologies incorporated Adivistar Electronics India Private Limited as a subsidiary during the quarter ended 30 September 2026, holding a 51% interest. Separately, the board appointed Prithvi Vachani as an additional director and executive director for five consecutive years from 30 October 2026, subject to shareholder approval. Vachani was serving as vice president and is the son of Executive Chairman Sunil Vachani.
Conclusion
Dixon Technologies’ September-quarter results show that a 42% increase in consolidated total income to Rs 21,862.37 crore did not translate into higher quarterly earnings. PAT declined 45% to Rs 410.87 crore as total expenses increased by Rs 6,904.49 crore year on year and other income fell to Rs 68.73 crore from Rs 495.74 crore.
The next disclosed matters to watch are the PMA’s formal determination and disbursement of the Rs 1,110.06 crore PLI receivable, alongside shareholder approval of Prithvi Vachani’s five-year executive-director appointment. Dixon Technologies also said its Rs 10 per-share final dividend for financial year 2025-26 was approved at the annual general meeting held on 28 September 2026.
