M.K. Sons Fine Jewels IPO: Price Band, Dates, Issue Size and Financials
Ask Iris
M.K. Sons Fine Jewels Ltd. is launching a ₹275.40 crore mainboard initial public offering (IPO) at a price band of ₹153 to ₹162 per share. The issue opens on 28 October 2026 and closes on 30 October 2026, with listing scheduled for 4 November 2026. It comprises a ₹220.32 crore fresh issue and a ₹55.08 crore offer for sale (OFS). Fresh issue proceeds will be received by the company for its stated objectives, while OFS proceeds will go to the selling shareholders.
MK Jewels business and retail model
M. K. Sons Fine Jewels operates the MK Jewels retail brand through five company-owned showrooms in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The company sells Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)-hallmarked gold jewellery, diamond jewellery and cubic zirconia (CZ) jewellery. Its range spans bridal, daily-wear, traditional, contemporary and premium products across multiple price points.
The company has an 11-collection portfolio across gold, diamond and CZ categories. It principally sources finished jewellery from third-party vendors, while maintaining in-house design and customisation capabilities. Hallmarking for gold and certification for diamond jewellery form part of its product offering.
Its sales model is entirely based on physical showrooms, with no online revenue channel. Consequently, showroom footfall, local demand and store-level execution are material to its operations. The business is also concentrated geographically in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Gujarat contributed nearly 68% of FY2026 revenue, while one Ahmedabad showroom accounted for 57% of FY2026 revenue.
The proposed use of IPO proceeds includes inventory funding for a new showroom in Maharashtra and expansion of an existing showroom in Gujarat. The company’s ability to deploy inventory across its current and planned outlets will remain relevant to the retail model.
Business milestones and store expansion
The promoter, Ramchand Murlidhar Raimalani, began the jewellery business through M. K. Sons Jewellers in 1999 and opened the first C.G. Road store in Ahmedabad. M. K. Sons Fine Jewels was incorporated in 2012, when it opened its first Bandra showroom in Mumbai.
A second Ahmedabad store was opened at Sindhu Bhavan Road in 2022 under the promoter’s proprietorship. In 2024, the business opened two Mumbai stores, at Zaveri Bazaar and Andheri, taking the network to five stores. The company acquired the running business of the promoter’s M. K. Sons Jewellers proprietorship in 2025.
In 2026, M. K. Sons Fine Jewels converted from a private limited company to a public limited company. The company now operates its retail network in two urban markets, while the proposed Maharashtra showroom would add to its physical-store footprint.
Financial trajectory and reported performance
The company reported growth in revenue and profit after tax (PAT) over FY2024 to FY2026. Total revenue increased from ₹217.40 crore in FY2024 to ₹351.32 crore in FY2025 and ₹538.86 crore in FY2026. PAT rose from ₹8.17 crore in FY2024 to ₹23.26 crore in FY2025 and ₹51.80 crore in FY2026.
Based on the reported revenue and PAT figures, PAT margin moved from 3.76% in FY2024 to 6.62% in FY2025 and 9.61% in FY2026. Total assets rose from ₹95.21 crore in FY2024 to ₹219.64 crore in FY2025 and ₹283.21 crore in FY2026. Inventory requirements are material for the company because it sells jewellery across multiple categories, designs and price points through its showrooms.
The company reports earnings per share (EPS) of ₹12.13. Its reported pre-IPO price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is 13.36 times and its price-to-book ratio is 3.78 times. Return on equity (ROE) and return on net worth (RoNW) are each reported at 8.20%, while return on capital employed (ROCE) is reported at 10.26%.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) margin is reported at 23.09%. The reported PAT margin is 14.80%, and the debt-to-equity ratio is 0.39 times. These indicators can be considered alongside the historical financial figures, the working-capital requirements of jewellery inventory and the planned retail expansion.
IPO structure and proposed use of funds
The IPO has a price band of ₹153 to ₹162 per share and a lot size of 91 shares. At the upper price band, the minimum application amount is ₹14,742. The allotment date and refund date are both scheduled for 2 November 2026.
The fresh issue of ₹220.32 crore is proposed to fund stated company objectives. The company proposes to use ₹152.84 crore for inventory costs associated with setting up one new showroom in Maharashtra and expanding an existing showroom in Gujarat. It also proposes to use ₹30.00 crore for repayment or prepayment, in full or in part, of certain borrowings.
General corporate purposes are also listed as an objective, without a specified allocation in the stated use of funds. These are proposed uses, rather than completed spending. The inventory funding is based on management estimates, and the pace of expansion, approvals and inventory requirements may affect implementation.
The ₹55.08 crore OFS is a sale by existing shareholders. Unlike proceeds from the fresh issue, OFS proceeds will not be available to the company for inventory, expansion or repayment of borrowings.
The issue allocation provides 50% for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 15% for non-institutional investors (NIIs) and 35% for retail individual investors. Subscription has not opened as of 26 October 2026. Bidding is scheduled to begin on 28 October 2026.
GMP observations and market factors
The grey market premium (GMP) is an unofficial market indicator and is not part of the IPO process or a forecast of listing performance. The available observations referenced an issue price of ₹162. GMP was ₹8 on 24 October 2026, followed by observations of ₹7 later that day, ₹7 on 25 October, ₹7 on 26 October and ₹7.50 on 26 October.
The company operates in a jewellery retail market that includes organised chains and established local jewellers. Its products include hallmarked gold and certified diamond jewellery, while its range covers different purchase occasions and price points.
Gold prices can affect the working-capital requirement associated with jewellery inventory. Changes in fashion preferences may affect inventory movement. The company generally sources finished goods from vendors without long-term supplier contracts, and the availability of skilled artisans may affect craftsmanship capacity. Its absence of online revenue also means that lower physical showroom visits cannot be offset through another sales channel.
Monitoring points for investors
Subscription across QIB, NII and retail categories can be monitored after bidding starts on 28 October 2026. Pre-opening records of zero bids do not represent investor demand because the issue has not yet opened.
The timing and scale of inventory deployment for the Maharashtra showroom and Gujarat expansion are relevant to the stated use of fresh issue proceeds.
Revenue contribution by individual showrooms, particularly the Ahmedabad outlet that accounted for 57% of FY2026 revenue, remains relevant given the concentration of sales in Gujarat.
The company’s borrowing position after the proposed repayment or prepayment, inventory requirements, and changes in revenue and PAT margins following expansion are further operational points to track.
