What does the Citelum India acquisition mean for Krystal?
The acquisition gives Krystal a 100% stake in Citelum India and marks its entry into city lighting and urban infrastructure. Krystal identified the transaction as a strategic acquisition in its H1 FY27 business developments, but did not disclose the purchase price, funding structure, closing date, or Citelum India’s financial performance.
The transaction broadens Krystal’s activities beyond integrated facility management, staffing, security, catering and waste management. As of September 2026, Krystal operated through 33 branches and five warehouses, serving 547 customers across 4,766 locations with 49,971 on-site employees after adding branches in Patna and Chandigarh.
Krystal already lists city infrastructure among the sectors it serves, alongside healthcare, education, waste management and manufacturing. The acquisition specifically adds city lighting and urban infrastructure, while the H1 FY27 release also cited recent work in sewage treatment, transportation, railways, metro infrastructure and industrial staffing.
The November 2, 2026 release does not state Citelum India’s current revenue, employee count, contract base or profitability. The disclosed Rs 300-350 crore objective therefore describes management’s intended scale over three to four years rather than the acquired business’s reported starting position.
How much revenue and investment does Krystal plan for Citelum India?
Krystal targets Rs 300-350 crore of annual revenue from Citelum India over the next three to four years and plans to invest about Rs 100 crore to support that goal. Chief Executive Officer and Whole-Time Director Sanjay Dighe described the revenue figure as an ambition, making it a forward-looking target rather than reported revenue.
The targeted annual revenue range exceeds Krystal’s H1 FY27 consolidated profit after tax of Rs 36.035 crore, although the measures are not directly comparable because one is a future annual revenue ambition and the other is six-month profit. The filing does not provide a margin target, investment schedule, financing plan or return expectation for the planned Rs 100 crore.
Management linked the acquisition to its Krystal 2.0 strategy, which it said focuses on quality-led and profitable growth. Dighe said Krystal would remain selective in bidding, prioritising project quality and profitability over scale, while pursuing deeper client relationships, increased wallet share and geographic expansion in its corporate business.

Krystal reported H1 FY27 revenue from operations of Rs 775.178 crore, up 27.82% from Rs 606.481 crore in H1 FY26, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, rose 21.39% to Rs 47.662 crore. The company attributed the revenue increase to new client wins and additions, as well as higher scale and value of orders secured.
Profit after tax rose 22.09% year on year to Rs 36.035 crore in H1 FY27 from Rs 29.514 crore in H1 FY26. Basic earnings per share increased 21.99% to Rs 25.85 from Rs 21.19, while Krystal’s stated EBITDA measure excludes other income.
Revenue grew faster than EBITDA and profit after tax during the first half. EBITDA margin declined by 32 basis points to 6.15% from 6.47%, while profit-after-tax margin fell by 22 basis points to 4.65% from 4.87%; one basis point equals one hundredth of a percentage point.
In Q2 FY27, revenue from operations increased 46.25% to Rs 414.467 crore from Rs 283.400 crore in Q2 FY26. Quarterly EBITDA rose 38.82% to Rs 24.864 crore and profit after tax increased 41.66% to Rs 18.673 crore, while EBITDA margin was 6.00%, compared with 6.32% a year earlier.
Which contracts support Krystal’s broader expansion?
Krystal’s largest disclosed H1 FY27 order was its 40% consortium share in two sewage-treatment engineering, procurement and construction contracts under Swachh Maharashtra Mission 2.0 in Pune and Nagpur, valued at about Rs 296.02 crore. The disclosed amount is Krystal’s consortium share rather than the total value of the two contracts.
In transportation-related facility management, Krystal won a three-year Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation contract worth about Rs 134 crore for Mumbai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. It also secured a three-year housekeeping and cleaning contract worth about Rs 33.05 crore for Mumbai Metro Lines 4, 4A and upcoming lines.
Other disclosed H1 FY27 wins included a two-year facility-management contract worth about Rs 27.64 crore covering 563 Andhra Pradesh hostels in 13 districts. Krystal also won a five-year manpower-deployment contract worth about Rs 17.25 crore from Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Sangh and a one-year Rs 8.75 crore industrial-staffing contract from Kosol Energie for 250 technical professionals in Gujarat.
Krystal further reported a 12-month sanitation and waste-management contract worth about Rs 6.60 crore at Khatu Shyamji Temple in Rajasthan and a one-year Mumbai Monorail housekeeping and cleaning contract worth about Rs 6.58 crore. The release does not provide start dates, execution costs or expected revenue recognition for these contracts.
Conclusion
Krystal’s Citelum India acquisition extends its service portfolio into city lighting and urban infrastructure while management pursues Rs 300-350 crore of annual revenue from that business over three to four years. The expansion comes alongside H1 FY27 revenue growth of 27.82% to Rs 775.178 crore and contract wins spanning sewage treatment, transport, metro services, hostels, staffing and waste management.
The next disclosed milestones to watch are progress toward the Citelum India revenue ambition and deployment of the planned Rs 100 crore investment. Management has also identified disciplined growth, execution excellence and margin improvement as priorities after H1 FY27 EBITDA margin declined by 32 basis points year on year to 6.15%.
