For Q1 FY27 (three months ended 30 June 2026), LIC reported total premium income of INR 1,27,250 crore and profit after tax of INR 13,492 crore, versus INR 1,19,200 crore and INR 10,986 crore respectively in Q1 FY26.
LIC’s market share in premium was 60.10% in Q1 FY27 versus 63.51% in Q1 FY26. Market share in policies was 60.73% versus 63.07%.
Net VNB for Q1 FY27 was INR 3,136 crore versus INR 1,944 crore in Q1 FY26. Net VNB margin improved to 22.9% from 15.4%.

Management highlighted launch of MyLIC and Super Sales Saathi apps in April 2026 under DIVE, and reported ANANDA policies completed at 436,925 in Q1 FY27 versus 347,958 in Q1 FY26, with ANANDA policy share at 14.08%.
As per management, 98.51% of policies were sold by the agency force and 93.07% of individual new business premium came from the agency channel in Q1 FY27. Bancassurance and alternate channels collected individual new business premium of INR 907.14 crore versus INR 861.92 crore in Q1 FY26.
