Q1 FY27 results show lower year-on-year revenue
Vakrangee Limited reported a weaker revenue performance in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the first quarter of FY27. Revenue stood at ₹55.92 crore, down 18.77% from the corresponding quarter a year earlier. It was also 1.45% lower than ₹56.74 crore reported in the preceding quarter. The numbers point to a continued decline in the company’s top line on an annual comparison. Total income was ₹57.90 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹58.86 crore in the March 2026 quarter. This represented a sequential decline of 1.63%. On a year-on-year basis, total income declined 17.70%.
Net profit declines from the previous year
Net profit for Q1 FY27 was ₹2.25 crore, a decline of 32.23% year-on-year. The result was higher than the ₹1.62 crore net profit reported in the immediately preceding quarter, representing a sequential increase of 38.89%. The quarter therefore showed a contrast between annual and sequential comparisons. Profit improved from the March quarter, but remained below the level recorded in the comparable period of the previous financial year. A separate earnings summary stated that first-quarter earnings per share were ₹0.02, against ₹0.03 in Q1 FY26. That summary also said lower revenue contributed to a reduction in profit margin.
Operating profit improves sequentially
Operating profit stood at ₹6.61 crore in Q1 FY27. This was 40.94% higher than ₹4.69 crore in the previous quarter. However, operating profit was 15.47% lower on a year-on-year basis. The available quarterly table placed the operating margin at 11.87% for June 2026, compared with 8.41% in March 2026. This shows an improvement in operating profitability relative to the immediately preceding quarter. Yet the revenue decline meant that the quarterly improvement did not translate into year-on-year growth in operating profit.
Profit before tax rises from March quarter
Profit before tax was ₹3.66 crore, up 66.36% from ₹2.20 crore in the March 2026 quarter. On a year-on-year basis, profit before tax declined 21.63%. The sequential increase in both operating profit and profit before tax indicates a recovery from the preceding quarter’s lower base. But the annual comparisons remain negative across revenue, total income, operating profit, profit before tax and net profit. Investors tracking the results will therefore assess whether the sequential improvement can be sustained in the September quarter.
Key Q1 FY27 financial figures
Revenue trend remains below earlier levels
Vakrangee’s reported sales have declined over recent quarters. Sales were ₹69.08 crore in September 2025, ₹60.10 crore in December 2025, ₹56.74 crore in March 2026 and ₹55.92 crore in June 2026, according to the quarterly data provided. Expenses also reduced to ₹49.28 crore in June 2026 from ₹51.97 crore in March 2026. The fall in expenses was larger than the sequential fall in sales, supporting the improvement in operating margin from the March quarter. The June 2026 operating margin of 11.87% was also higher than 8.41% in March 2026.
Board approved the first-quarter results in July
Vakrangee said its Board of Directors approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 at a meeting held on July 29, 2026. The company also released a results performance update presentation on the same date. The reported first-quarter performance covered the company’s standalone and consolidated results. The supplied information does not provide a detailed segment-wise financial break-up. It does state that the company continues to focus operationally on its Kendra services and ATM segment.
Q2 FY27 board meeting scheduled for October 28
The next major disclosure is scheduled for October 28, 2026. Vakrangee informed BSE on October 23, 2026 that its Board of Directors would meet on that date to consider and approve unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. The company’s trading window closure took effect from October 1, 2026 and remains in place until 48 hours after the declaration of these results. The scheduled meeting will provide the Q2 FY27 numbers and the first-half financial picture.
What the Q1 figures mean for investors
The Q1 FY27 results show that Vakrangee faced a lower revenue base than in the same quarter last year. At the same time, the sequential rise in operating profit, profit before tax and net profit indicates improved performance relative to Q4 FY26. Margin movement is relevant because operating margin increased to 11.87% from 8.41% in the prior quarter. However, the year-on-year decline in net profit was steeper than the decline in revenue. The October 28 board meeting is the confirmed next event for investors, as the company considers its Q2 and half-year FY27 financial results.
