What did Endurance report for Q2 FY27?
Endurance reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 274.29 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs 227.27 crore in the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Profit was also 12.2% higher than Rs 244.52 crore reported in Q1 FY27.
Consolidated revenue from operations rose to Rs 4,786.18 crore from Rs 3,582.82 crore in Q2 FY26. This represented a 33.6% year-on-year increase and a 10.9% sequential increase from Rs 4,314.89 crore in the preceding quarter. Consolidated total income, including other income, was reported at about Rs 4,811 crore, up 33.5% year-on-year.
The company said expanded operational throughput supported quarterly profit growth. However, the pace of expense growth exceeded the rise in revenue, reflecting higher input costs and operating expenditure.
Why did Endurance's margin decline despite revenue growth?
Endurance's EBITDA margin declined to 11.7% in Q2 FY27 from 13.3% a year earlier because costs increased faster than revenue. Consolidated EBITDA rose 17.2% year-on-year to Rs 559 crore, but this growth was below the 33.6% increase in revenue from operations.
Total consolidated expenses increased 36.1% year-on-year to Rs 4,490.52 crore. Cost of materials consumed rose 51.5% to Rs 3,136.31 crore from Rs 2,069.66 crore. Total expenses were also 11.8% higher sequentially than Rs 4,018.20 crore in Q1 FY27.
For the half year ended September 30, 2026, consolidated EBITDA margin stood at 12.6%, compared with 14.0% in the year-earlier period. The figures show that Endurance delivered higher absolute earnings while facing pressure on profitability as a percentage of sales.
How did Endurance's India and Europe operations perform?
Endurance's Indian operations, including Maxwell, contributed 76% of consolidated total income including other income in the first half of FY27, with European operations accounting for the remaining 24%. Standalone results represent the India business in the reported financial statements.
Standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,752.73 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 2,678.22 crore a year earlier. Standalone profit after tax increased to Rs 213.48 crore from Rs 187.58 crore, while standalone total expenses rose to Rs 3,473.40 crore from Rs 2,440.47 crore.
For H1 FY27, consolidated revenue was Rs 9,101.07 crore and consolidated profit after tax was Rs 518.81 crore. Consolidated total income for the half year was Rs 9,159.35 crore, while profit before tax was Rs 686.26 crore. Basic and diluted consolidated earnings per share for the half year were Rs 36.88, compared with Rs 32.25 a year earlier.

What operational developments supported the quarter?
Endurance linked the quarterly performance to healthy automotive demand in India and higher operating throughput. Managing Director Anurang Jain said Indian automotive market volumes during Q2 FY27 increased 18% year-on-year for two-wheelers, 27% for three-wheelers and 24% for passenger vehicles.
The company said standalone topline rose 40% during the quarter and absolute standalone EBITDA increased 18%. In the aftermarket, Indian operations recorded sales of Rs 303 crore in H1 FY27, compared with Rs 243 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Endurance commenced commercial production at its greenfield AURIC Shendra facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on September 25, 2026. The plant is intended to manufacture aluminium die-casting components for Indian and global four-wheeler original equipment manufacturers across electric vehicle and internal-combustion-engine platforms, along with non-automotive applications.
What else affected Endurance's reported Q2 numbers?
Endurance's auditors highlighted an exceptional gain of Rs 35.63 crore arising from the derecognition of a deferred consideration liability. The adjustment followed Endurance Overseas increasing its shareholding in the Germany-based Stöferle entities from 68% to 100%.
This exceptional item is separate from the operating cost trends reflected in the EBITDA margin. Investors assessing the quarter can distinguish between the reported profit increase, revenue-led operating growth and the disclosed overseas-subsidiary adjustment.
The company has announced an investor meeting at 11:00 a.m. IST on November 4, 2026, to discuss the Q2 FY27 financial results. The meeting provides the next scheduled forum for management commentary on demand, costs, capacity additions and the regional performance mix.
Conclusion
Endurance delivered a 20.7% increase in Q2 FY27 consolidated profit and a 33.6% increase in revenue, supported by stronger automotive volumes and higher operational throughput. Yet EBITDA margin contracted by 160 basis points as material consumption costs rose 51.5% and total expenses grew faster than revenue.
The next disclosed event is Endurance's November 4, 2026 investor meeting. Investors will watch for management's comments on input-cost pressure, the ramp-up of the AURIC Shendra plant, aftermarket sales and the contribution from Indian and European operations.
