GMR Airports September 2026 Traffic: Delhi Records, Hyderabad Weakness, and Cargo Strength

The update reports total passenger traffic of 9.2 million passengers in September 2026 across the portfolio airports (excluding Cebu as presented in the total line), up 0.9% year on year.

Delhi Airport handled 38.5 million passengers in H1 FY2027, up 5.0% year on year, and the company described this as the highest-ever H1 for total, domestic and international passenger volumes at Delhi.

The document states that muted growth in international traffic was attributable to flight disruptions caused by West Asian geopolitical instability.

Hyderabad Airport reported 13.6 million total passengers in H1 FY2027, down 11.7% year on year. The company also highlighted sequential improvement in international traffic versus earlier months.

Delhi reported about 1.11 lakh metric tonnes of cargo in September 2026 and about 6.3 lakh metric tonnes in H1 FY2027, up 12.2% year on year, described as highest-ever monthly and year-to-date cargo volumes.

GMR assumed operational control of Nagpur Airport effective 25 June 2026. Bhogapuram Airport was inaugurated on 01 August 2026 and began commercial operations from 17 August 2026.

The update notes that Cebu divestment was completed, but GMR will operate as the Technical Services Provider until December 2026, and consolidated total metrics shown exclude Cebu in the totals line.
