What did the review say about Regal Entertainment’s results?
Regal Entertainment’s statutory auditor, Rajesh Raj Gupta & Associates LLP, stated on 2 November 2026 that nothing had come to its attention to indicate that the standalone statements lacked required disclosures or contained a material misstatement. The conclusion covered the quarter ended 30 September 2026 and the six-month period from 1 April 2026.
The auditor conducted a limited review under Standard on Review Engagements 2410. It said that a review is substantially narrower than an audit and, accordingly, did not express an audit opinion on the unaudited standalone financial results.
Regal Entertainment said its Audit Committee reviewed and its board approved the results on 2 November 2026. The board meeting began at 12:00 PM Indian Standard Time and ended at 2:45 PM, according to the filing.
Basic and diluted earnings per share, which were not annualised, were both a loss of Rs 0.09 for the September 2026 quarter. That compared with earnings of Rs 0.15 per share in the September 2025 quarter, while the company said earlier-period figures had been regrouped or reclassified where necessary.
Conclusion
Regal Entertainment moved from a Rs 4.60 lakh profit in the September 2025 quarter to an Rs 8.01 lakh loss in the September 2026 quarter as operating revenue and other income declined and expenses increased. The September outcome was also worse than the Rs 5.91 lakh loss in June, as the increase in other expenses exceeded the gain in quarterly income.
The filing provides no revenue target, expansion plan or earnings guidance. The unresolved matter for subsequent results is whether revenue from operations, which rose from Rs 13.00 lakh in June to Rs 23.03 lakh in September, can improve while other expenses, which reached Rs 24.03 lakh in September, are contained.
