Why did ATVO Enterprises' first-half profit fall despite higher income?
ATVO Enterprises' first-half profit fell because total expenses increased by Rs 46.81 lakh, exceeding the Rs 45.74 lakh increase in total income from operations. Total expenses were Rs 2.6563 crore for the half year ended 30 September 2026, compared with Rs 2.1882 crore in the corresponding 2025 period, while operating income reached Rs 2.7666 crore.
Profit before tax declined to Rs 11.03 lakh from Rs 12.10 lakh in the year-earlier half. Tax expense reduced to Rs 2.87 lakh from Rs 3.15 lakh, but net profit after tax still declined to Rs 8.16 lakh from Rs 8.95 lakh. Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rs 0.008 in both six-month periods.
Purchases of stock-in-trade rose to Rs 2.3329 crore from Rs 2.1872 crore, while employee-benefit expense increased to Rs 16.93 lakh from Rs 14.47 lakh. Other expenses increased to Rs 12.34 lakh from Rs 8.15 lakh. The inventory movement was an expense of Rs 2.62 lakh, against a Rs 22.52 lakh reduction in the corresponding prior-year half.
ATVO Enterprises reported no other comprehensive income for either half-year period. Its paid-up equity share capital was unchanged at Rs 10.6985 crore at 30 September 2026, and the filing identified textile as its only reportable segment under Indian Accounting Standard 108, which covers operating segments.
