Creative Newtech aims to generate Rs 2,400 crore of revenue from its brands by FY29, equal to 40% of its stated Rs 6,000 crore revenue plan, versus a 19% branded-sales share in Q2. Management said the mix shift could raise brand-business profitability, but it requires upfront spending on marketing, certifications and product development.

How will Creative reach Rs 2,400 crore of brand revenue?
Creative’s Rs 2,400 crore FY29 brand-revenue target is based on management’s Rs 6,000 crore overall revenue plan, with brands expected to provide 40% of the total. The branded-business share rose from 14% in the last financial year to 17% in H1 and 19% in Q2, setting the starting point for the targeted expansion.
Management identified Honeywell, WOZOYO, CyberPowerPC and Infinova as its four brand platforms. Honeywell generated Rs 369 crore in the last financial year, while management said Honeywell and WOZOYO together could close the current year at Rs 475 crore to Rs 500 crore, with the Middle East treated as almost negligible. The comparison indicates planned growth but is not like-for-like because the current-year range includes WOZOYO.
Ketan Patel said the strategy does not rely on one brand or market. Management is pursuing three initiatives at a time and expects at least one to work, while also considering another licence or brand acquisition that could add revenue. These are management plans rather than committed contributions to the FY29 target.
What profitability does Creative expect from its brands business?
Creative expects the brands business to produce profit after tax, or PAT, of about 10% to 11% in FY29, according to Chief Financial Officer Ajit Thakur. He said the business currently generates gross profit of about 40% to 42%, and management links the prospective PAT outcome to increasing brands’ share of sales from 19% in Q2 to 40% in FY29.
Patel gave a more cautious framework for evaluating the projection, saying an 8% PAT assumption could be used for calculations. He said earnings before interest and tax, or EBIT, could reach 18% after brand revenue crosses Rs 500 crore to Rs 600 crore, potentially allowing PAT of 11% to 12% through lower relative costs for certifications, tooling, manpower and marketing.
Creative expenses certification and intellectual-property creation costs rather than capitalising them, Patel said. Certifications can remain valid for five years and product dyes can be used for at least 100,000 products, so the initial cost could be absorbed over a larger sales base if volumes build. Patel also noted that recalls, obsolescence and external disruptions could affect the result.
How much is Creative investing in WOZOYO?
Creative has spent about Rs 12 crore on WOZOYO brand building since last year, against management’s estimate that its balance sheet could support Rs 20 crore to Rs 22 crore of such expenditure. The brand-building budget covers advertising and visibility, while certification and intellectual-property costs are also expensed as incurred.
Creative separates brand promotion from product marketing through Amazon Marketing Services, or AMS. Management said AMS expenditure was running at about 50% of sales, but expected it to fall to 12% to 14% once sales reach about $1 million. Patel said AMS is controllable because campaigns can be halted when product sales do not justify spending.
WOZOYO was launched in the US at the end of July and sold about Rs 20 crore of products through the end of September, management said. Its initial range included air purifiers and docking stations, with a US return rate of about 3% to 4% versus the usual 8% to 9% cited by Patel. Reviews and Amazon’s Vine feedback programme are other measures management will track.

Which markets and products support Creative’s target?
Creative is using Honeywell’s existing channel presence to introduce WOZOYO, particularly in air purifiers and electronic essentials. Patel put India’s air-purifier market at about Rs 2,000 crore and the US market at about Rs 28,000 crore, which he said drove the initial US focus. Management has set a first-year WOZOYO target of Rs 45 crore to Rs 50 crore across India and the US.
The planned sequence is to establish online trust before moving into physical stores. Management named Amazon and TikTok as US online channels, followed by Walmart and Best Buy, and said it would not offer consignment or sale-or-return terms even if that limits sales. In India, Honeywell’s position in air purifiers and electronic essentials is intended to help WOZOYO gain platform attention from Blinkit, Swiggy and Amazon.
CyberPowerPC is being positioned beyond gaming computers into artificial-intelligence workstations, while Infinova is aimed at high-end surveillance applications including smart cities, airports and border security. Management expected the Infinova acquisition to complete by about 15 November, subject to the share-transfer process, and said its sales could begin appearing in Creative’s revenue around January or February.
What could determine whether Creative meets its FY29 goal?
Creative’s target depends on execution across brands, markets and the Infinova integration rather than Honeywell alone. Patel cited Indian markets of about Rs 24,000 crore for audio, Rs 10,000 crore for premium electronic essentials and Rs 30,000 crore for surveillance. Those market estimates indicate addressable categories, not revenue already secured by Creative.
WOZOYO’s near-term test is Black Friday on 27 November, which Patel called the litmus test for the pace of US sales growth. Management said WOZOYO alone could reach Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore next year if performance is favourable, while surveillance could be a larger opportunity over two to three years. Both statements are management expectations contingent on sales traction, marketing efficiency, returns and channel execution.
Conclusion
Creative’s strategy is to change its revenue composition as well as increase sales. Raising brands from 19% of Q2 sales to 40% of the Rs 6,000 crore FY29 plan would produce Rs 2,400 crore of brand revenue, with management expecting higher PAT conversion than in the wider business. The move from 14% branded sales in the last financial year to 19% in Q2 shows progress, but not completion of the FY29 plan.
The next disclosed checkpoints are WOZOYO’s Black Friday performance on 27 November, the expected Infinova acquisition completion around 15 November and management’s expectation of an Infinova revenue contribution around January or February. Creative’s progress toward the Rs 45 crore to Rs 50 crore first-year WOZOYO target, the 3% to 4% US return rate and the AMS spending ratio will provide further evidence on execution.
