How many surgical facilities did DrA add in H1'FY27?
DrA added 32 greenfield surgical facilities in H1'FY27, alongside five primary facilities, taking total greenfield additions in the half year to 37. Surgical facilities in this disclosure comprise secondary and tertiary facilities, while primary facilities are shown as a separate category. DrA reported 185 greenfield facilities added since FY23.
The opening mix shifted toward surgical capacity in H1'FY27. Surgical sites accounted for 32 of the 37 greenfield additions, while primary sites accounted for five. This differed from FY26, when DrA added 57 greenfield facilities comprising 30 surgical facilities and 27 primary facilities, a more balanced split between the two formats.
How does DrA’s H1'FY27 expansion compare with earlier years?
DrA’s 32 surgical greenfield additions in H1'FY27 exceeded the 30 added during all of FY26, despite covering only the first half of the financial year. Annual surgical-facility additions were five in FY23, 13 in FY24, 20 in FY25 and 30 in FY26, showing an increasing count before H1'FY27.
Total greenfield additions reached 37 in H1'FY27, below the 57 recorded in FY26 but already above the 29 in FY24 and 10 in FY23. The H1'FY27 total was weighted to surgical locations rather than primary facilities. In FY25, 52 greenfield additions included 20 surgical and 32 primary facilities, the reverse of the H1'FY27 mix.
DrA’s total facility network rose to 324 as of September 30, 2026, from 258 in H1'FY26, a 25.6% increase. South had 200 facilities, followed by West with 55, North with 36, East with 14 and locations outside India with 19. The count includes the closure of three primary facilities in Janipur, Zirakpur and Peer Muchalla during the first two quarters of FY27.
Is DrA’s older network still growing while new sites open?
DrA reported 17.7% same-store sales growth for facilities set up or acquired up to H1'FY24, indicating that the established estate continued to grow while newer locations were added. This measure excludes revenue attributable to Elisar Life Sciences Private Limited, according to the vintage-performance disclosure.
Facilities operating from up to FY23 generated Rs 948 crore of H1'FY27 revenue from operations, representing 74.8% of the measured vintage revenue base, and grew 17.2% year on year. The FY24 vintage contributed Rs 96 crore, or 7.6%, and grew 20.9%, while the FY25 vintage contributed Rs 127 crore, or 10.0%, and grew 67.8%.
The newer estate had a smaller current revenue contribution than the mature network in H1'FY27. DrA classifies facilities as mature after more than three years of operation or ownership, and emerging before that threshold. Mature facilities accounted for 79.0% of the Rs 1,268 crore maturity-network revenue measure, while emerging facilities accounted for 21.0%; this measure excludes revenue attributable to Eris Life Sciences Private Limited.
