How fast did ITC FMCG-Others grow in Q2 FY27?
ITC FMCG-Others grew consolidated revenue by 19% year on year in Q2 FY27, versus 16% growth on a standalone basis. ITC describes the consolidated outcome as a 14-quarter high. Like-for-like growth was 17.3%, while growth excluding atta was 23%, showing that the reported growth rate includes differing effects from the atta business and portfolio mix.
Standalone FMCG-Others revenue rose to Rs 6,967 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 6,024 crore in Q2 FY26 and Rs 5,578 crore in Q2 FY25. The year-on-year increase in the latest quarter was Rs 943 crore, compared with Rs 446 crore in the preceding year-on-year comparison. ITC’s presented revenue series also shows Q2 FY27 revenue at 2.1 times the Rs 3,288 crore reported in Q2 FY20.
The Q2 FY27 result combines stronger revenue growth with continued expansion in newer distribution formats. ITC attributes the momentum to sustained growth in NewGen channels and a strong rebound in general trade. NewGen channels include e-commerce, quick commerce and modern trade, according to the presentation; it does not disclose their individual revenue contributions.
Which ITC FMCG-Others categories drove the growth?
Biscuits, snacks, noodles, spices, salt, frozen snacks, homecare and notebooks each grew by more than 20% in Q2 FY27, according to ITC. Personal wash and dairy grew in the high teens. The disclosed category split indicates that the revenue increase covered packaged food categories as well as non-food businesses such as homecare and notebooks.
ITC supported the food portfolio with communications and products including Aashirvaad Sattu Maavu, marketed as containing about 12 grams of protein with no added sugar, and Sunfeast Farmlite Sugar Free Choco Nut Cookies. Other highlighted campaigns included Bingo! Tedhe Medhe and B Natural Coconut Cola. The presentation does not provide sales data for these individual products or brands.
The personal-care range included Fiama communication around products containing 1% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid, while the broader FMCG-Others brand list included Aashirvaad, Sunfeast, Bingo!, YiPPee!, Savlon, Engage, Classmate and 24 Mantra Organic. This gives the segment exposure to staples, snacks, personal care, stationery and organic foods, although ITC does not report category-level revenue.
Did ITC FMCG-Others profitability improve in Q2 FY27?
ITC FMCG-Others reported standalone segment EBITDA of Rs 723 crore in Q2 FY27, with a 10.4% margin, up from Rs 594 crore and a 9.9% margin in Q2 FY26. EBITDA means earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation. ITC also said segment profit before interest and tax, or PBIT, rose 28% year on year.
The 10.4% segment EBITDA margin expanded by more than 50 basis points both year on year and quarter on quarter, ITC said. One basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point. The margin comparison is based on standalone financials, while the segment overview on the preceding page reports a 31% increase in consolidated results and a 28% increase in standalone results.
ITC attributed the Q2 FY27 margin movement to portfolio mix enrichment, cost-management initiatives and calibrated pricing actions amid sharp input-cost escalation across categories. It also said trade and marketing investment was maintained at competitive levels to support growth and market standing. The presentation does not quantify either the input-cost increase or the spending on trade and marketing.

What is ITC FMCG-Others' digital-first and organic portfolio worth?
ITC FMCG-Others said its digital-first and organic portfolio exceeded a Rs 1,800 crore annualised run rate in Q2 FY27. The portfolio comprises Mother Sparsh, Prasuma, Yoga Bar and 24 Mantra Organic. An annualised run rate represents the current pace extrapolated over a year, rather than a separately reported full-year revenue result.
The portfolio is being expanded through products positioned under new growth vectors. ITC listed Fabelle The Nav-Ras Collection, Sunfeast 25 gram Protein Choco Mocha, ITC Master Chef Crunchy Chicken Nuggets and Yoga Bar Ultimate Whey Isolate Yeast Protein among recent launches. No standalone revenue, growth rate or margin was disclosed for these launches or for the four brands in the Rs 1,800 crore-plus portfolio.
ITC also identified adjacency launches, including Aashirvaad Dal Paratha, Matar Pudina Paratha and Uthukuli Ghee, as well as Sunfeast Dark Fantasy Rocky Rolls Brownie Almond and Classmate Twyst. Core-category additions included Sunfeast Farmlite Protein Oats & Almonds Cookies, Sunrise meal products, Engage variants and Mangaldeep Temple Sandal Gold. These additions span food, personal care, stationery and devotional products.
How is ITC FMCG-Others supporting brands and new launches?
ITC FMCG-Others used entertainment and event associations for brands in Q2 FY27, including Sunfeast Fantastik! with Spider-Man and Aashirvaad Select as an official associate sponsor of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The portfolio also highlighted Bingo! Onion Rings as baked rather than fried and YiPPee! Pasta in Magic Masala and Chinese Masala variants. ITC did not attach campaign-level sales figures to these activities.
Festive communication included Temple Pooja Room Spray, Dazzle Vibe Matches Lit Pariwar Edition, Classmate’s #MoreThanATeacher campaign, Candyman’s Halloween activity and Engage Luxury Gift Set messaging. Dazzle was described as available on Zepto, linking that campaign to quick commerce, one of the NewGen channels cited in ITC’s Q2 FY27 revenue commentary.
The commercial mechanism disclosed by ITC is continued brand support alongside channel expansion and product launches. Its stated trade and marketing spending was maintained at competitive levels despite input-cost escalation, while the company cited general-trade recovery and NewGen-channel momentum as contributors to growth. The presentation does not isolate the effect of advertising, event integration or quick-commerce availability on Q2 FY27 revenue.
Conclusion
ITC FMCG-Others combined a 19% consolidated revenue increase in Q2 FY27 with a higher standalone segment EBITDA margin of 10.4%. Growth was reported across more than 20%-growing food, homecare and notebook categories, while the digital-first and organic portfolio moved beyond a Rs 1,800 crore annualised run rate.
The unresolved issues are the revenue and profitability contribution of individual newer brands, NewGen channels and recent launches. Future disclosures can clarify whether ITC’s stated mix enrichment, calibrated pricing, cost actions and sustained brand investment continue to offset the sharp input-cost escalation identified in Q2 FY27.
