Kwality Wall's recorded profit before tax of Rs 42.5 crore for the six months ended 30 September 2026, compared with a loss before tax of Rs 61.8 crore in the corresponding 2025 period. After adjustments, operating cash flow before working-capital changes was Rs 126.8 crore, up from Rs 18.8 crore.
The reconciliation included Rs 81.2 crore of depreciation and amortisation, Rs 19.4 crore of interest on lease liabilities and Rs 13.6 crore of impairment allowance on property, plant and equipment. Kwality Wall's reported profit after tax of Rs 33.5 crore for the 2026 half-year, reversing a Rs 62.6 crore loss in the prior-year period. Net operating cash flow of Rs 291.7 crore was therefore higher than profit after tax, with the combined Rs 221.1 crore decline in inventories and trade and other receivables being the largest disclosed difference, partly offset by the Rs 56.1 crore fall in payables and provisions.
Kwality Wall's identifies ice-cream as its only primary reportable segment under Indian Accounting Standard 108, Operating Segments. The filing therefore does not provide a product-level or business-line allocation of the Rs 291.7 crore operating cash inflow.

The 2026 financing outflow included a Rs 50.3 crore net repayment of current borrowings, partly offset by Rs 24.8 crore of proceeds from non-current borrowings.
The balance sheet shows current borrowings at nil on 30 September 2026, compared with Rs 50.3 crore on 31 March 2026. Lease liabilities were Rs 498.5 crore at 30 September 2026, including Rs 444.9 crore of non-current liabilities and Rs 53.6 crore of current liabilities, compared with Rs 497.6 crore at 31 March 2026.

Property, plant and equipment stood at Rs 655.8 crore at 30 September 2026, down from Rs 697.6 crore at 31 March 2026, while capital work-in-progress fell to Rs 27 crore from Rs 43.6 crore.
Conclusion
Kwality Wall's cash build-up in the six months ended 30 September 2026 principally reflected working-capital releases rather than reported profit alone. The Rs 165.7 crore inventory reduction and Rs 55.4 crore decrease in trade and other receivables helped generate Rs 291.7 crore of operating cash, funding Rs 18.7 crore of investment spending, Rs 45.4 crore of lease payments and the Rs 50.3 crore net repayment of current borrowings.
The next reports can show whether inventories remain near the Rs 137.6 crore reported at September-end and whether receivable and payable movements continue to support cash generation. They can also provide developments on the Rs 24.8 crore of non-current borrowings, whose terms and use were not disclosed in the 6 November 2026 results announcement.
