Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received an order worth ₹3.65 crore, including taxes, from West Central Railway. The order relates to an anti-bird disc project and is expected to be completed within one year. The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations. A Letter of Acceptance from West Central Railway for the ₹3.65 crore order was reported on October 3. The project adds a railway infrastructure-related assignment to Texmaco Rail's recent order announcements. The disclosed order value is smaller than several recent wagon contracts secured by the company. However, it highlights continued engagement with railway-sector customers alongside private industrial and logistics clients.
Anti-bird disc project scope
The available disclosure identifies the project as an anti-bird disc assignment for West Central Railway. It does not provide further technical specifications, the number of units involved, or the locations where the work will be undertaken. Texmaco Rail has stated that the project is to be executed within one year. The order value of ₹3.65 crore includes taxes. As a domestic railway order, it sits alongside the company's rolling-stock, wagon and railway engineering work. No additional financial terms or milestone-based delivery details were provided in the available information.
Hindalco adds specialised rake contract
Separately, Texmaco Rail received a ₹27.82 crore order from Hindalco Industries Limited. The contract covers the supply of one BTAP rake along with one brake van for the Aditya Expansion Project. Hindalco is a domestic counterparty, according to the company disclosure. Texmaco Rail said the order is to be executed within eight months from the date of the purchase order. The company also disclosed that its promoter group and group companies have no interest in the entity awarding the contract. This order expands the company's recent pipeline of specialised freight-rake assignments.
TCI and Touax orders total ₹131.36 crore
Texmaco Rail also announced two domestic orders aggregating to ₹131.36 crore, including taxes. Transport Corporation of India Limited placed a ₹24.48 crore order for the manufacture, supply and commissioning of one rake comprising ACT-1 wagons and one BVCM wagon. This order is to be executed within 16 weeks from the Letter of Intent date. Touax Texmaco Railcar Leasing Private Limited placed a ₹106.88 crore order for four rakes of BFNS22.9 wagons along with four BVCM wagons. The Touax order is scheduled for execution by May 26, 2027. Together, these contracts show that the company's order flow includes both logistics operators and railcar leasing customers.
IVC Logistics confirmed work order
The company has also disclosed a confirmed ₹77.76 crore work order from IVC Logistics Limited. The order covers three rakes of ACT1 wagons, with one BVCM wagon attached to each rake. Texmaco Rail said it received a formal Letter of Award, making the order executable under the disclosed terms. Delivery is scheduled on or before March 31, 2027. The value is inclusive of taxes. The company stated that there is no related-party interest in this transaction. The order further adds to Texmaco Rail's pipeline for automobile and freight transportation wagon equipment.

Larger disclosed railway and wagon contracts
Recent disclosures also include two contracts totalling ₹377.56 crore. These comprise a ₹351 crore engineering or wagon-related order and a ₹26.56 crore project from South Central Railway. The company described them as separate contracts within railway infrastructure and freight wagons. In another major contract, Texmaco Rail secured a ₹357.11 crore order from the JSW Group for manufacturing and supplying BLSS, BLCS and BFNV rakes along with BVCM wagons. That order is to be executed within 11 months from the effective date or commencement of work. The rake types are used for container movement, freight transport and bulk cargo applications. These larger assignments provide context for the company's mix of public-sector and private-sector orders.

International collaboration proposal
Beyond order inflows, Texmaco Rail signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Germany's Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH, or BVV. The MoU was executed on August 27, 2026, and is exclusive for 12 months. It provides a framework for evaluating a proposed joint venture in India. The parties will assess manufacturing capabilities for railway wheels, wheelsets and axles in India. The MoU is an evaluation framework and does not itself confirm the establishment of a joint venture. Its relevance lies in the possibility of extending Texmaco Rail's activities into additional railway component categories.
Order book provides operating context
Texmaco Rail's total order book stood at ₹5,661 crore as of December 31, 2025, corresponding to the third quarter of FY26. Wagons represented a significant share of that order book. The company had also secured orders worth ₹126 crore from IVC Logistics and APL Logistics in January 2026, with execution due by August and September 2026. On March 28, 2026, it received a ₹22.91 crore order from North Central Railway. The recent announcements continue this pattern of orders across freight wagons, specialised rakes and railway-related engineering work. The disclosed West Central Railway project adds a smaller but separate public-sector contract to this sequence.
Market relevance and conclusion
The ₹3.65 crore West Central Railway order does not materially match the scale of Texmaco Rail's larger wagon contracts, but it broadens the range of recent work disclosed by the company. Its one-year execution period adds a defined delivery schedule for the anti-bird disc project. Meanwhile, contracts from Hindalco, TCI, Touax, IVC Logistics and the JSW Group point to continued demand for freight and specialised rolling stock. The company has not disclosed a combined revised order-book figure following these announcements. Investors and industry participants will watch execution progress on the orders with near-term deadlines, including the TCI and Hindalco contracts. Further disclosures on the proposed BVV collaboration may also provide clarity on the planned evaluation of wheel, wheelset and axle manufacturing capabilities.
