Smart metering is a strategic new vertical: Salzer has built a ~4 million meter annual capacity smart meter factory, secured approval from several DISCOMs, executed initial RDSS and customer orders but has seen slow large-scale dispatch due to industry tender dynamics and eligibility hurdles limiting near-term meter revenue.

Salzer is diversifying into EV charging and energy projects; it holds JV/partner stakes (Kostad, EMarch, Ultrafast Chargers) and sold nearly 100 chargers in nine months, while winning a material ₹192 crore BBMP energy efficiency contract, signalling multiple growth levers beyond legacy switchgear operations.
