The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Ltd. (UNITEA) is a long-established producer and marketer of various tea products, including green, black, herbal, aroma, and flavoured teas, from the Nilgiris region of Southern India.

UNITEA is part of the Chamraj group and operates four major tea estates in different parts of South India, helping it maintain a production capacity of about 2000 tonnes per annum.

The company has been proactive in adopting integrated pest-management systems and focusing on R&D for product improvements, particularly for enhancing its tea’s acceptance in export markets.

Despite a general decline in India's tea exports, UNITEA has managed to maintain its export momentum, demonstrating resilience and strategic market adaptability.

UNITEA's early adoption of organic tea production in 1994 has established it as one of the leaders in the organic tea export sector.
