Exactly two years ago, I decided to start a company.

At that time, all I knew was how to write code. Little did I know a company is way more than just code. When the excitement of the first few weeks faded, everything felt hard. Damn hard. But I kept showing up every day.

Coding was easy because I loved it. But hiring was hard. Design was draining. Building a team was tougher. And turning code into a usable product was even more difficult. But I kept showing up every day.

Then came money. Or rather, the lack of it. Those who have tried to raise funds know how brutal it can be. But I kept trying. Friends came together and I raised an amount that is hard to imagine even today.

Money came in but cofounder left. I was first time entrepreneur (not an excuse) and it was taking me longer than estimated to build something of value. Compliances grew. Team expanded. More people. More management. More work. Still no product. It got harder. But I kept showing up. Every single day.

Thought of launching the product in beta. But who will use your product? Welcome to sales and marketing 101. I started writing on LinkedIn, nobody bothered initially. But I kept writing. Almost daily.

Built a large following here on LinkedIn, then Whatsapp. Got a lot of people to try out the closed beta. Some loved it. Some didn't. Some called it fresh. Some called it the same old wrapper. But I kept improving the product. Every single day.

Then came the public beta. People loved it. Almost everyone. Got the first 100 people to use the product. 100 became 10,000. And then came the sweetest sound ever of those Razorpay notifications.

People started paying. Hundreds of them. They started loving it. Expectations rose. Small team. Little resources. Little money. How do we go from here? Institutional funding? Hard again, not even 1000 startups could raise from institutions every year. But I kept trying.

Raised from my dream VC (announcement soon). Fundraising, compliances, hiring, marketing, user feedback, all at once. Product development slowed down. Users complained. Expectations are sky high. But I am working hard to fix it. Every single day.

The confidence today, the learnings, the self-realization, they all come from one thing: Consistency. You can beat me in talent. You can beat me in short bursts of hard work. But one thing where you can't beat me is consistency.

No matter what's going on in my life. Sick, tired or exhausted. I will get up, I will work towards my goal, I'll sleep and then repeat. I will be consistent with same focus, same energy and same drive.

70% startups fail within first two years. Multibagg AI turns 2 today and it's just the beginning.
