Chemkart has begun full-scale construction of a greenfield nutraceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation, or CDMO, facility at JNPA Special Economic Zone in Maharashtra. The 4,120 square metre site is intended to add formulation, packaging and export-dispatch capabilities and supports management’s stated 2030 target for 60% of revenue to be manufacturing driven.

What is Chemkart building at JNPT SEZ?
Chemkart is building an integrated nutraceutical CDMO facility through its wholly owned subsidiary, Easy Raw Materials Private Limited, at JNPA Special Economic Zone in Raigad, Maharashtra. The planned operation will cover formulation, packaging and global dispatch of health supplements, extending beyond Chemkart’s existing business-to-business supply of raw ingredients to nutritional, sports and health-supplement manufacturers.
The facility is planned for tablets, capsules, jars and sachets. Chemkart identifies microencapsulation, liposomal ingredients and enhanced-bioavailability systems as its novel technologies, while the listed infrastructure includes quality-control laboratories, warehousing, utilities, an administrative block and sustainability features.
The project occupies a 4,120 square metre plot leased for 60 years at JNPA SEZ. Chemkart says the location near India’s largest container port is intended to provide access to global markets and benefits under Special Economic Zone policy, while formulations from the planned Maharashtra facility are primarily aimed at export markets.
How far has Chemkart progressed with the JNPT facility?
Chemkart has moved into active civil and warehouse construction following the Bhumi Pujan held on July 19, 2025. Its October 2026 presentation says civil and infrastructure work is in full swing, which is a different stage from its 2023 establishment of a dedicated SEZ sales unit.
Reinforcement and shuttering work for reinforced cement concrete columns from the second slab to the third floor is under way, alongside concrete curing. In parallel, the pre-engineered building warehouse is being erected through installation of columns, beams, sub-beams, purlins and bracing, while compound-wall blockwork is also in progress.
Chemkart reports that 55 personnel are deployed across project supervision and construction teams. The stated current focus is parallel execution of civil and steel-structure work to advance the structural construction and warehouse development.
The presentation includes a page headed “Projected Outlay for the Manufacturing Facility,” but does not disclose a numerical capital outlay, an installed production capacity or a specific completion date. Management’s disclosed timetable instead identifies 2027 for commissioning of the Easy Raw Materials SEZ facility.
How does the JNPT facility change Chemkart’s business model?
Chemkart’s stated transition is from ingredient distribution and in-house processing towards manufacturing, packaging and CDMO services for export markets. Its current range includes more than 150 ingredients, including amino acids such as L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine and L-Lysine HCL, supported by in-house blending and grinding.
The Bhiwandi operation provides a comparison with the future JNPA SEZ site. Chemkart reports a 30,000 square foot warehouse in its company snapshot, while another presentation page specifies 28,259 square feet across three floors; the facility handles blending, grinding, packing, labelling and sealing. It has grinding capacity of 1.8 metric tonnes per day and blending capacity of 1.5 metric tonnes per day.
The JNPA SEZ project adds finished formats of tablets, capsules, jars and sachets, as well as SEZ-compliant labelling, documentation and logistics for global dispatch. That is a change from the Bhiwandi site’s ingredient handling and processing role, although Chemkart has not disclosed a production-capacity comparison between the two facilities.
The export focus is material because domestic revenue accounted for 99.61% of Chemkart’s geographic revenue, while exports accounted for 0.39%. The planned facility therefore addresses an export-oriented business area from a low reported export base, but the presentation gives no annual export-revenue target for 2027 or separate revenue forecast for the plant.

What is Chemkart’s manufacturing plan through 2030?
Chemkart plans to commission the Easy Raw Materials SEZ facility in 2027 to establish an export-driven manufacturing foundation. Management also lists a research and development innovation centre and scaling of liposomal, microencapsulation, nanoemulsion and beadlet technologies among its 2027 objectives.
For 2028, management plans entry into integrated manufacturing of bioactive molecules and the establishment of offices in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. These are stated plans, rather than evidence that Chemkart has already begun bioactive-molecule production or opened those overseas offices.
In 2029, Chemkart plans to offer full-service CDMO work from custom molecules through finished dosage forms. The sequence places the intended 2027 commissioning before the proposed broader service offering, linking construction of the SEZ facility to the longer-term commercial model.
By 2030, management aims for Chemkart to become India’s number one contract research, development and manufacturing organisation, or CRDMO, in nutraceuticals and personal wellness. Its stated targets include a global footprint, 60% manufacturing-driven revenue and integrated services across ingredients, formulations, regulatory work and supply chain.
What existing capabilities support Chemkart’s expansion?
Chemkart enters the manufacturing project with a domestic distribution and processing base. It reports more than 500 trusted clients, more than 10 product categories, a pan-India distribution network and a warehouse footprint of 30,000 square feet in its company snapshot.
The operating platform includes Easy Raw Materials Private Limited and Vinstar Biotech Private Limited. Easy Raw Materials was established in 2021 to address new market segments, while Vinstar Biotech was launched in 2023; the JNPA SEZ plant makes Easy Raw Materials the vehicle for the planned formulation, packaging and export operation.
Chemkart reports two-year compound annual growth rates of 26.9% for revenue, 17.6% for earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, and 19.6% for profit after tax. For financial year 2026, it reports return on equity of 15% and return on capital employed of 21%.
These figures describe the existing business rather than the future JNPA SEZ facility. The presentation does not quantify the plant’s expected revenue, profit contribution or return profile, leaving commissioning and commercial scale-up as the main measures of the expansion’s execution.
Conclusion
Chemkart has begun building a defined manufacturing asset rather than only setting out a strategic ambition. The 4,120 square metre, 60-year JNPA SEZ site is planned for formulation, packaging and export dispatch, adding tablet, capsule, jar and sachet formats to an existing business centred on ingredients, blending and grinding. Its export purpose contrasts with the current geographic mix, where exports represent 0.39% of revenue.
The next disclosed milestone is commissioning of the Easy Raw Materials SEZ facility in 2027. Investors and customers can watch construction progress, the planned scaling of liposomal, microencapsulation, nanoemulsion and beadlet technologies, and subsequent steps toward bioactive-molecule manufacturing in 2028 and full-service CDMO offerings in 2029.
