What lifted NDR Auto’s order book to Rs 1,150 crore?
NDR Auto said its Rs 1,150 crore standalone order book at September 30, 2026 included Rs 500 crore of orders won during Q2FY27. The company linked those wins to seating and a range of automotive-component categories, while describing new programmes, premiumisation and original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, diversification as growth supports.
A second disclosure puts order inflow at Rs 540 crore across seating solutions, ambient lighting, sunshades and other auto components. The presentation does not explain the Rs 40 crore difference between that figure and the Rs 500 crore described as Q2FY27 wins. It also labels the Rs 1,150 crore balance as a standalone order book on one slide and as a total order book on another, without giving a segment-by-segment backlog split.
The company stated that the order book supports medium-term revenue visibility, but did not disclose the delivery period, annual run rate, customer-wise awards or programme-level revenue allocation. Therefore, the Rs 1,150 crore amount is a disclosed order-book measure rather than a forecast of a specific FY27 or FY28 revenue figure.
How did NDR Auto’s financial performance change in H1FY27?
NDR Auto’s total income rose 21.69% year on year to Rs 470.41 crore in H1FY27, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, increased 25.29% to Rs 53.92 crore. Profit after tax, or PAT, grew 27.22% to Rs 36.18 crore, meaning both operating earnings and reported profit increased faster than total income over the half year.
The H1FY27 EBITDA margin was 11.5%, compared with 11.1% in H1FY26, and PAT margin was 7.7%, compared with 7.4%. Return on capital employed, or ROCE, was 25.64% in H1FY27 versus 23.95% a year earlier. For Q2FY27 alone, total income reached Rs 247.86 crore, up 23.46% from Rs 200.77 crore, while PAT rose 33.23% to Rs 19.78 crore.
Q2FY27 EBITDA was Rs 27.47 crore, 21.68% above Rs 22.58 crore in Q2FY26, although the EBITDA margin moved slightly to 11.1% from 11.2%. NDR Auto said efficiencies helped sustain margins in a challenging environment, while its Q2FY27 PAT margin improved to 8.0% from 7.4%. Its reported Q2FY27 ROCE excluding non-productive land and surplus cash was 36.52%, compared with 31.07% a year earlier.

Which NDR Auto capacity projects are in execution?
NDR Auto listed five projects in its execution pipeline, with expected start of production, or SOP, dates from Jan-27 to Dec-27. The projects cover seat insert support fabric, seat latches, seat-belt reminder systems, seat trims and frames, and varied auto components.
The presentation labels the execution pipeline’s total project cost as Rs 62.96 crore, while the five individual costs shown, Rs 21.89 crore, Rs 17.43 crore, Rs 7.43 crore, Rs 13.31 crore and Rs 7.19 crore, add to Rs 67.25 crore. NDR Auto does not reconcile this Rs 4.29 crore difference in the supplied material.
Two projects were also identified as approved capacity expansions in the business update. NDR Auto said the Rs 13.31 crore Gujarat expansion had an expected payback of 2.96 years, while the Rs 7.19 crore Kharkhoda, Haryana expansion had an expected payback of 2.87 years. Both were described as under implementation, with SOPs of Dec-27 and Oct-27, respectively.
How do NDR Auto’s joint ventures extend its product coverage?
NDR Auto’s 50:50 joint venture, NDR Hayashi Automotive India Private Limited, had a Rs 40 crore order book at September 30, 2026 and began operations at its Bengaluru facility in June 2026. The venture initially makes sunshades and has product scope in ambient lighting, floor carpets, dash-inner components, rear shades, tonneau covers and other noise, vibration and harshness, or NVH, components.
NDR Hayashi was incorporated in October 2025 with Japan’s Hayashi Telempu Corporation. The presentation says Rs 32 crore had been invested in the venture to date in equal proportion; in May 2026, NDR Auto’s board approved the proposed transfer of its sunshade business to the venture for Rs 9.44 crore and a further Rs 6 crore equity investment through a rights issue. Its target OEM customers are Suzuki, Toyota and Honda.
NDR Auto also holds 51% in a joint venture with DYA Co., Ltd., a South Korean seating manufacturer, with stated investment of Rs 62.96 crore. DYA, formerly Dayou A-Tech and renamed in March 2026, supplies complete seat assemblies, foam products and headrests, and lists Hyundai Motor, Kia and KG Mobility among its customers. NDR Auto said this venture will be consolidated and widens its OEM relationships.
Conclusion
NDR Auto’s disclosed Rs 1,150 crore order book, H1FY27 total income of Rs 470.41 crore and NDR Hayashi’s Rs 40 crore order book point to a pipeline spanning seating, interior products, lighting and sunshades. The Q2FY27 order-inflow disclosures differ by Rs 40 crore, however, and the presentation does not provide an award-by-award bridge or execution schedule for the main order book.
The next disclosed milestones are the Jan-27 SOPs for Manesar, Pathredi and Gujarat projects, the Oct-27 Kharkhoda SOP and the Dec-27 Gujarat seat-trims and frames SOP. Readers can also watch whether NDR Auto reconciles the stated Rs 62.96 crore pipeline cost with the Rs 67.25 crore total of listed project costs, and whether the joint ventures disclose further orders or production updates.
