In the second quarter (Q2) of fiscal year (FY) 2027, Goldiam International Limited’s Origem recorded Rs 11.3 crore of revenue, versus Rs 2.8 crore in Q2 FY26, while its network reached 29 stores on 5 November 2026 from 11 a year earlier. Goldiam describes the revenue increase as fourfold, compared with 2.5-times store growth.

How quickly did Origem expand its store network?
Origem expanded from 11 stores in September 2025 to 29 stores in September 2026, and Goldiam reported the same 29 operational stores on 5 November 2026. The 18-store net increase occurred within a year, with the presentation describing the network as operating across key cities.
The pace of additions changed during the reported period: the network rose by 15 stores from September 2025 to June 2026, then by three stores from June to September 2026. The unchanged count between September 2026 and 5 November 2026 means the presentation identifies no additional opening during that interval.
Goldiam says Origem is scaling its retail footprint across key urban clusters and locating stores in high-footfall and lifestyle zones. It characterises the 29-store chain as probably India’s largest company-owned, company-operated lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, while also calling it one of the top three business-to-consumer, or B2C, lab-grown jewellery retail brands in India.
How much did Origem’s quarterly revenue rise?
Origem’s Q2 FY27 revenue rose to Rs 11.3 crore from Rs 2.8 crore in Q2 FY26, an increase of Rs 8.5 crore. Goldiam presents this change as fourfold revenue growth, alongside its stated comparison of fourfold revenue growth against 2.5-times growth in store count.
The presentation therefore shows revenue rising faster than the network on Goldiam’s stated comparison, but it does not disclose the underlying split between new-store sales, comparable-store sales, online orders or product categories. It also does not report Origem’s Q2 FY27 operating profit, margin, transaction count or average selling price.
Origem is identified as Goldiam’s B2C lab-grown diamond jewellery brand rather than a separately reported profit segment. Goldiam’s consolidated Q2 FY27 total income was Rs 291.7 crore, up from Rs 201.9 crore in Q2 FY26, but that group measure covers more than Origem and cannot establish the retail brand’s contribution to consolidated earnings.

What customer features has Origem introduced?
Origem has introduced a Digital 3D Ring Builder, lab-grown diamond jewellery in 9-karat gold, an Old Gold Exchange scheme across all stores and a Life-Time Exchange programme at 110% of the prevailing diamond rate. Goldiam lists these four features as in-store sales enablers for the 29-store network.
Goldiam says it expanded the Life-Time Exchange programme to 110% of the prevailing diamond rate after introducing the ring builder, 9-karat gold jewellery and the Old Gold Exchange scheme. Management says the policy is intended to commit to the value of a customer’s investment and secure higher lifetime value, or LTV, but the presentation gives no redemption data, programme cost or launch date.
The digital tool provides a 360-degree view, live pricing and more than 4,000 possible variations, according to Goldiam. It offers nine centre-stone shapes: round, princess, oval, pear, emerald, radiant, marquise, heart and elongated cushion. A displayed configuration carries a price of Rs 90,080, although the slide presents this as an illustrative ring-builder screen rather than sales data.
Goldiam calls the tool India’s first and only 360-degree digital ring builder and says it supports full customisation. The presentation also says Origem can customise jewellery across cuts, colours and price points, but it does not quantify the share of customised orders, the mix of 9-karat gold products or demand for the Old Gold Exchange programme in Q2 FY27.
How does Origem fit Goldiam’s retail strategy?
Origem is Goldiam’s domestic B2C route within a model that also serves overseas jewellery retailers through export operations. Goldiam says it entered branded lab-grown diamond jewellery retail in India during the 2018-2026 period, following its 1986 start in exports of cut and polished diamonds.
Goldiam’s presentation describes its operating model as a dual-engine approach, combining export-oriented jewellery operations with the domestic retail brand. Its stated vision is to establish Origem as the nation’s foremost branded lab-grown diamond jewellery brand in India’s accessible-luxury segment, supported by vertically integrated manufacturing, supply chains and service.
For the first half of FY27, Goldiam reported consolidated total income of Rs 655.3 crore, compared with Rs 437.6 crore in the first half of FY26. Consolidated profit after tax was Rs 123.4 crore, versus Rs 65 crore a year earlier; however, these figures cover the group and do not disclose whether Origem was profitable over the six-month period.
The retail plan centres on scaling stores across urban clusters while maintaining an exclusive focus on lab-grown diamond jewellery. Goldiam does not name the cities in the 29-store network, specify a future store-opening number, disclose capital expenditure for Origem or provide a timetable for further expansion beyond 5 November 2026.
Conclusion
Origem’s reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 11.3 crore was four times its Rs 2.8 crore revenue in Q2 FY26, while its store base increased from 11 to 29 locations. The presentation links the faster revenue growth with a retail proposition built around customisation, 9-karat gold jewellery, Old Gold Exchange and a Life-Time Exchange rate of 110% of the prevailing diamond rate.
The next point to watch is the execution of Goldiam’s disclosed plan to scale Origem across urban clusters. Goldiam has reported 29 operational stores as of 5 November 2026 and stated an ambition for the brand in India’s accessible-luxury lab-grown diamond segment, but it has not supplied a numerical store target, revenue target or expansion timetable.
