How much did TeamLease's workforce change in Q2FY27?
TeamLease reported 5,500 general-staffing associate exits and 2,700 apprenticeship exits in Q2FY27, totalling 8,200 exits. General staffing had 2,85,000 associates deployed as of Q2FY27 and apprenticeship had 40,500 apprentices deployed, giving a combined disclosed deployed base of 3,25,500. The presentation does not provide the prior-quarter deployed base or a net headcount change after recruitment.
General staffing accounted for 5,500 of the 8,200 exits, while apprenticeship accounted for 2,700. The two businesses also added 45 new Corp IDs in Q2FY27, comprising 32 in general staffing and 13 in apprenticeship. TeamLease does not disclose the number of associates or apprentices deployed for those new Corp IDs.
TeamLease's general-staffing portfolio includes temporary staffing, permanent hiring, Direct Commission Agent and gig services, as well as master-vendor agreements and infrastructure leasing. Its apprenticeship business offers National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme and National Apprenticeship Training Scheme programmes, campus and degree apprenticeships, work-integrated learning programmes and the Prime Minister Internship Scheme.
Which industries gained share in TeamLease's workforce?
TeamLease's consumer and telecom headcount shares increased from FY24 to FY26, while BFSI, or banking, financial services and insurance, and e-commerce lost share. Consumer rose by 3.2 percentage points to 29.2% in FY26 from 26.0% in FY24, and telecom rose by 2.7 percentage points to 17.6%. BFSI declined by 5.2 percentage points to 20.8%, while e-commerce declined by 2.3 percentage points to 8.5%.
The industry data cover general staffing and apprenticeship, where total headcount rose to 3,39,450 in FY25 from 3,11,800 in FY24 before declining to 3,33,100 in FY26. FY26 headcount was therefore 6,350 lower than FY25 but 21,300 above FY24. The shift in industry mix took place across a workforce that expanded in FY25 and then reduced in FY26.
Consumer was TeamLease's largest disclosed industry category in FY26 at 29.2%, followed by BFSI at 20.8% and telecom at 17.6%. Consumer and BFSI together represented 50.0% of FY26 headcount, down from 52.0% in FY24. The other category increased to 15.9% from 14.8% over the same period.

Is TeamLease adding clients while workforce exits continue?
TeamLease reported 60 new Corp IDs in H1 FY27 year to date, including 45 additions disclosed for general staffing and apprenticeship in Q2FY27. The H1 total shows client additions alongside the quarter's 8,200 exits, but the presentation does not link new Corp IDs to particular deployment volumes, contract values or associate hiring.
TeamLease reported 80 clients with tenure above 15 years, 180 clients with 10 to 15 years of tenure and 191 with six to 10 years as of the presentation. It also reported that more than 95% of total clients were annuity clients and 80% used two or more services. These measures describe relationship duration and cross-selling, rather than Q2FY27 client churn or headcount additions.
Revenue concentration at the largest accounts declined between FY24 and FY26. TeamLease's top five clients contributed 24.7% of gross revenue in FY26, down from 28.3% in FY24, while the top 10 contribution fell to 36.2% from 37.2%. The presentation does not identify whether these changes resulted from lower activity at major accounts, growth in smaller accounts or both.
How else has TeamLease's workforce mix changed?
TeamLease's female share of general-staffing and apprenticeship headcount increased to 17.1% in FY26 from 14.5% in FY24, while the male share declined to 82.9% from 85.5%. The other-gender category was 0.002% in FY26, compared with 0.001% in FY24, on the FY26 headcount base of 3,33,100.
North India became TeamLease's largest disclosed region in FY26, with 34.9% of headcount compared with 33.6% in FY24. West India's share declined to 28.1% from 30.1%, while south India was 28.2% in FY26 versus 28.0% in FY24 and east India rose to 8.8% from 8.3%. TeamLease states that it is present across all states and union territories.
The fixed-fee share of associates was 79.2% in FY26, below 82.4% in FY25 and 79.9% in FY24. Variable-markup associates represented 20.8% in FY26, up from 17.6% in FY25 and slightly above 20.1% in FY24. TeamLease does not disclose revenue or margin by fixed-fee and variable-markup associates.
Conclusion
TeamLease's Q2FY27 disclosure records 8,200 exits across general staffing and apprenticeship, while the combined deployed base was 3,25,500. Its FY24-to-FY26 operating data also show a lower BFSI share and higher consumer and telecom shares, alongside a fall in the top five clients' gross-revenue contribution from 28.3% to 24.7%.
The next disclosed measure to watch is the H1 FY27 total of 60 new Corp IDs and whether future updates provide a net deployed-headcount movement after exits and hiring. TeamLease also identifies work-integrated learning programmes and the Prime Minister Internship Scheme within apprenticeship, but the presentation provides no future deployment target for those programmes.
