Board meeting scheduled for October 28
TVS Motor said in an exchange filing that its board will meet on October 28, 2026, to consider and approve the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The scheduled announcement follows a quarter in which the company reported substantial sales growth. The market will compare the reported numbers with a broad range of brokerage forecasts. Management commentary on exports, rural demand and electric scooter capacity will also be closely tracked.
Revenue estimates exceed Rs 16,000 crore
Brokerage estimates indicate that TVS Motor’s Q2 FY27 revenue may rise by 35% to 40% year on year to Rs 16,000 crore to Rs 16,650 crore. Zee Business estimates standalone revenue of Rs 16,411 crore, up 37.8% from Rs 11,905 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Another estimate places revenue at Rs 16,090 crore, representing growth of about 35%. The estimates reflect both the 27% rise in volumes and an expected improvement in realisations.
Profit growth expected to outpace sales
Profit after tax is estimated in the range of Rs 1,310 crore to Rs 1,370 crore, implying annual growth of about 40% to 50%. Zee Business estimates standalone PAT at Rs 1,318 crore, up 45.5% from Rs 906 crore a year earlier. A separate estimate forecasts net profit of Rs 1,250 crore, up 38% year on year. Jefferies expects pre-exceptional profit before tax to rise by about 45%. Differences between estimates reflect varying assumptions on realisations, costs and currency-related gains.
Operating profit and margin outlook
EBITDA is expected to be around Rs 2,100 crore to Rs 2,185 crore, according to the broader brokerage range. Zee Business projects EBITDA of Rs 2,096 crore, compared with Rs 1,508 crore a year ago, a rise of 39%. EBITDA margin estimates are clustered between 12.8% and 13.3%, against approximately 12.7% in Q2 FY26. The expected margin improvement is linked to operating leverage, product mix and favourable currency movements. These factors will be important because revenue growth alone does not determine the quality of earnings.
Vehicle volumes provided the main support
TVS Motor registered quarterly sales of about 1.9 million units in Q2 FY27, up 27% year on year. Reported volume data places total sales at about 19.19 lakh units, while analysts have also used this figure in their estimates. Two-wheeler sales increased 27% to roughly 18.4 lakh units. Three-wheeler sales rose 47% to 78,475 units, compared with 53,449 units in Q2 FY26. The broad-based increase in volumes is expected to support double-digit revenue growth for the quarter.

Exports and EV sales remain key growth areas
International business sales grew 35% in Q2 FY27 to about 5.39 lakh units. This overseas momentum is a major monitorable because export demand and currency benefits can influence both revenue and margins. Two-wheeler EV sales rose 133% year on year to 1.86 lakh units during the quarter. In September 2026, EV sales increased 110% to 65,799 units. The pace of EV demand and the company’s capacity expansion plans for electric scooters will therefore be important elements of the earnings call.
September sales add to the quarterly trend
TVS Motor’s September 2026 sales rose 24% year on year to 672,790 units from 541,064 units. Total two-wheeler sales increased 23% to 645,955 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 17% to 482,073 units, while international business sales rose 48% to 180,700 units. The monthly figures reinforce the stronger quarterly sales trend, although the financial impact will depend on vehicle mix, pricing and costs.
Key Q2 FY27 estimates and operating data
Rural demand and Norton plans in focus
Investors will seek management’s assessment of the effect of drought and El Niño conditions on rural demand. Rural markets are important for two-wheeler demand, and commentary could provide context for the company’s domestic outlook. The market will also monitor progress on Norton Motorcycles launches planned for the second half of FY27. These updates are relevant to product strategy, but the company has not provided financial projections in the information available.
What the results could indicate
The expected Q2 performance is based on measurable operating trends: higher volumes, stronger exports, increased EV sales and a projected rise in realisations of 8.2% to around Rs 85,500. A margin range above the year-earlier level would indicate that operating leverage and mix are offsetting cost pressures. However, the durability of export demand, realisations and currency benefits remains central to the outlook. The October 28 results and management discussion will provide the confirmed financial outcome for the September quarter.
