Where to see a company's financials in India in 2026

Quick Answer: For a listed Indian company, financials are filed with NSE and BSE and published on the company's website. SEBI requires quarterly results within 45 days of a quarter's end and audited annual results within 60 days of the financial year end. Unlisted companies file with the MCA instead.
Two separate systems hold company financials in India, and which one applies depends only on whether the company is listed. Listed companies report to the stock exchanges on a quarterly clock set by SEBI; everyone else files annually with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Both are public. Neither requires a paid data platform, though platforms make the same filings easier to compare across companies and quarters.
Where can you see a company's financials in India?
For a listed company the primary sources are the two exchanges and its own website, all free. SEBI's listing regulations require quarterly results within 45 days of each quarter's end, and NSE's financial results page and BSE's results section both filter by company and by period.
For an unlisted company the route is the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, which holds annual filings submitted under the Companies Act. Those sit behind the MCA portal rather than on an exchange, and they are annual rather than quarterly.
Data platforms sit on top of both. Company pages in Multibagg's stocks section present the filed numbers as a history alongside price and shareholding, which is the comparison the raw filings make hard.
Where do Indian companies file financial results in 2026?
Listed companies file with every recognised stock exchange where they are listed, under regulation 33 of SEBI's listing regulations, last amended 14 July 2026. Regulation 33(3)(a) sets the clock. It allows 45 days from the end of each quarter, other than the last quarter of a financial year.
Quarterly results are due within 45 days, annual audited results within 60. Our guide to when quarterly results are announced sets out the full FY27 deadline calendar.
One consequence catches people out. Because the last quarter has no separate 45-day deadline, a company's March-quarter numbers usually arrive with the annual audited results on the 60-day clock, not four weeks after the quarter ends.
A company under a resolution plan approved under section 31 of the Insolvency Code gets a longer window, at 90 days from the end of the quarter in which the plan was approved. That extension does not apply where the plan was approved in the last quarter of a financial year.
How do you download a listed company's results from NSE and BSE?
Open the exchange's results section, search the company, pick the period, and download the filing, which is published as a PDF and usually as an XBRL file too. Both exchanges are free and neither requires a login for results.
The two exchanges carry the same filing. Regulation 33 requires submission to every exchange where the company is listed, so a filing that appears on one and not the other is almost always a timing gap rather than a difference in substance.
Board-meeting announcements are filed separately from the results themselves, as our notes on CMI's board meeting for results and HCL Technologies' Q2 FY27 results and dividend show.
How do you view a private company's financials on MCA?
Through the MCA portal's View Public Documents service, which serves annual filings submitted under the Companies Act rather than quarterly results. An unlisted company has no 45-day quarterly obligation, so its balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement, filed each year in Form AOC-4, are the record. The annual return is a separate filing, Form MGT-7, which covers shareholders, directors and meetings rather than the accounts.
Access does not work the way an exchange filing does. Documents are bought per company through the portal rather than browsed free, at ₹100 per company, the inspection fee that the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014 set under section 399 of the Companies Act, and the terms of that service are set by the MCA rather than by an exchange.
Expect a lag. Annual filings follow the company's own filing deadline after the financial year closes, so MCA data is typically months behind what a listed peer has already published quarterly.
What format do Indian financial statements follow?
Ind AS 34 governs interim results. They are prepared on an accrual basis with uniform accounting policies across periods, under the recognition and measurement principles of AS 25 or Ind AS 34 that regulation 33 names directly.
That standardisation is what makes quarter-to-quarter comparison meaningful. The same line items appear in the same places, which is also why XBRL versions of the filings are machine-readable.
Annual statements follow the full Ind AS framework and carry an audit report. Where the auditor's opinion is modified, the company must also file a statement on the impact of the audit qualifications.
Are quarterly results audited or unaudited?
Either, at the company's option, under regulation 33(3)(c). A listed entity that files unaudited quarterly results must have them subjected to a limited review by its statutory auditors and must file the limited review report alongside the numbers.
Most companies take the limited-review route for the first three quarters. A full audit on a 45-day clock is demanding, and public sector undertakings get a specific relaxation of their own: the limited review may be carried out by any practising chartered accountant rather than by the statutory auditor.
The annual filing has no such choice. Annual results must be audited and filed with the audit report within 60 days of the financial year end, which is the stricter of the two standards a company reports against.
Where can you find a company's past results?
Both exchanges keep historical filings searchable by period. The company's investor-relations section carries its own archive as well, and for a multi-quarter view a platform that has already parsed the filings saves most of the assembly work.
Our note on Biocon's FY26 results and the Biocon Biologics dividend is one example of a filing read in its reporting context. Multibagg's earnings tracker groups quarterly results and earnings trends by financial year.
Check the filing, not the summary
Every figure above starts life in a filing with a date on it, and the 45-day and 60-day deadlines tell you when the next one is due. Where a platform and a filing disagree, the filing is the record.
