How did Advance Agrolife perform in the September 2026 quarter?
Advance Agrolife recorded total income of Rs 287.48 crore in the September 2026 quarter, compared with Rs 212.86 crore a year earlier, while profit before tax declined to Rs 15.07 crore from Rs 21.20 crore. Other income was Rs 32.90 lakh, compared with Rs 22.80 lakh in the September 2025 quarter, meaning the increase in total income was principally driven by operations.
Net profit was Rs 11.79 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with Rs 15.88 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rs 1.84, down from Rs 3.53 a year earlier. The unaudited results were approved by the board on November 4, 2026, after review and recommendation by the audit committee.
Advance Agrolife’s revenue growth did not translate into higher quarterly profit. The gap between total income and total expenses narrowed to Rs 15.97 crore in the latest quarter from Rs 21.20 crore a year earlier, before the reported tax charge. The company has one reportable segment, Agro Chemicals, so the filing does not provide a product-line or geographical split for this movement.
Why did Advance Agrolife’s profit fall despite higher sales?
Advance Agrolife’s profit fell because total expenses increased by Rs 79.85 crore from the September 2025 quarter, exceeding the Rs 74.62 crore increase in total income. Expenses were Rs 271.51 crore in the latest quarter versus Rs 191.66 crore a year earlier, reducing profit before tax by Rs 6.12 crore despite the 35% increase in revenue from operations.
Material consumption was the largest reported expense category at Rs 236.26 crore in the September 2026 quarter, compared with Rs 166.85 crore in the comparable quarter. The results also list manufacturing and operating expenses, employee benefits, finance costs, depreciation and amortisation, and other expenses, but do not provide management commentary attributing the profit decline to a particular expense line.
The tax outcome differed between periods. Advance Agrolife reported total tax expense of Rs 3.28 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 5.32 crore a year earlier. The lower tax charge moderated, but did not offset, the Rs 6.12 crore decline in pre-tax profit, leaving net profit Rs 4.09 crore below the September 2025 level.

How did Advance Agrolife compare with June and the half year?
Advance Agrolife’s September-quarter revenue was lower than its June-quarter revenue, while quarterly profit also declined. Revenue from operations was Rs 287.15 crore in the September quarter, compared with Rs 330.40 crore in the June 2026 quarter, and profit before tax was Rs 15.07 crore compared with Rs 30.25 crore.
Net profit was Rs 11.79 crore in the September quarter versus Rs 22.55 crore in the preceding June quarter. Basic and diluted earnings per share fell from Rs 3.50 to Rs 1.84. The company says its business is seasonal, and that weather conditions and cropping patterns can affect the results of individual quarters.
For the half year ended September 30, 2026, Advance Agrolife reported revenue from operations of Rs 617.56 crore, compared with Rs 381.25 crore in the half year ended September 30, 2025. Total income rose to Rs 618.11 crore from Rs 381.60 crore, while total expenses increased to Rs 571.90 crore from Rs 347.18 crore.
The half-year figures moved differently from the September quarter: profit before tax increased to Rs 46.22 crore from Rs 33.82 crore. Net profit for the six months was Rs 34.34 crore, compared with Rs 20.81 crore a year earlier. The filing states that earnings per share for the quarterly and half-year periods have not been annualised.
What disclosures and projects should Advance Agrolife shareholders watch?
Advance Agrolife’s statutory auditor, S K Patodia & Associates LLP, carried out a limited review of the September 30, 2026 results and said nothing had come to its attention to indicate that the statement failed to meet required disclosure standards or contained a material misstatement. The auditor noted that a limited review is narrower in scope than an audit and does not provide an audit opinion.
The board meeting of November 4, 2026 also considered the company’s captive solar plan. Advance Agrolife said it obtained registration from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited for an approximately 4 megawatt solar power project for captive use at Village Punarasar (Rajpura), District Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The proposed Bikaner project revises the location described in the company’s February 7, 2026 communication, which concerned an aggregate 3.75 megawatt plant at Village Bana Ka Bas, Tehsil Osian, District Jodhpur. The approximately 4 megawatt project remains subject to applicable approvals, permissions and clearances, while the filing gives no completion date, cost estimate or expected financial effect.
Conclusion
Advance Agrolife delivered a 35% rise in September-quarter revenue to Rs 287.15 crore, but expenses increased 41.7% to Rs 271.51 crore and net profit fell 26% to Rs 11.79 crore. The half-year result was more positive, with profit before tax increasing to Rs 46.22 crore, while the company’s seasonal business model leaves individual quarters exposed to weather conditions and cropping patterns.
The next disclosed development to watch is progress on approvals for the approximately 4 megawatt captive solar project at Punarasar (Rajpura) in Bikaner. Advance Agrolife said it will make disclosures on material developments, but the project’s cost, commissioning timetable and potential operating impact were unresolved in the November 4, 2026 announcement.
