How did Apollo 247 reach cash positivity in Q2 FY27?
Apollo 247 reached cash positivity after reducing its digital loss in each of the preceding four reported quarters. Digital cash performance improved from a Rs 38.6 crore loss in Q2 FY26 to losses of Rs 29.2 crore in Q3 FY26, Rs 16.4 crore in Q4 FY26 and Rs 9.7 crore in Q1 FY27, before reporting a Rs 1.3 crore profit in Q2 FY27. The year-on-year change was Rs 40 crore, which the presentation identifies as a 103% improvement.
The cash measure is different from the accounting earnings line for online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247. Apollo HealthCo defines cash loss or profit as earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, after Ind AS accounting treatment and excluding employee stock option plan, or ESOP, expense. In Q2 FY27, online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247 generated Rs 78.3 crore of EBITDA before Apollo 247 costs, but Rs 77 crore of operating cost and a Rs 14 crore non-cash ESOP charge resulted in a reported EBITDA loss of Rs 12.7 crore for the segment.
What drove Apollo 247's digital transaction growth?
Apollo 247’s core-segment GMV rose 27% year on year to Rs 570.8 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 450.4 crore in Q2 FY26, excluding the goods and services tax, or GST, impact. The core segments are pharmacy and diagnostics. Total platform GMV grew 20%, meaning core GMV grew faster than the broader platform measure during the quarter.
In H1 FY27, core GMV increased 24% to Rs 1,071.6 crore from Rs 867 crore in H1 FY26, also excluding GST impact. The half-year growth rate was lower than Q2’s 27%, while the absolute H1 increase was Rs 204.6 crore. Management described Apollo 247 as a consistent source of new customer acquisition through its Polygon and Omni acquisition strategy, without disclosing customer-acquisition costs or conversion rates.
Apollo 247 reported more than 51 million registrations and more than 17,000 doctors, with about 8.7 lakh daily active users. It also reported more than 57,400 daily medicine orders, more than 3,000 daily sample collections and about 16,400 daily consultations. Its listed services include virtual consultations, hospital and diagnostics bookings, medicine delivery, insurance, electronic health records and condition management.

How did Apollo HealthCo's Q2 FY27 results compare with last year?
Apollo HealthCo reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 3,285.7 crore, up 23% from Rs 2,660.6 crore in Q2 FY26, while reported profit after tax, or PAT, increased 64% to Rs 120.5 crore from Rs 73.4 crore. Total HealthCo EBITDA rose to Rs 193 crore from Rs 110.2 crore, and its EBITDA margin increased to 5.9% from 4.1%.
Online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247 revenue grew 23% to Rs 401.2 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 325.9 crore a year earlier. Offline pharmacy distribution revenue grew 24% to Rs 2,884.5 crore. Excluding the closure of a non-profitable corporate partner, management said HealthCo revenue grew 25%, with offline pharmacy distribution up 24% and online pharmacy distribution plus Apollo 247 up 32%.
What does H1 FY27 show about Apollo 247's progress?
Apollo 247’s digital cash loss narrowed to Rs 8.3 crore in H1 FY27 from Rs 87.4 crore in H1 FY26, a year-on-year reduction of Rs 79 crore. The H1 loss shows that the Rs 1.3 crore Q2 cash profit did not offset the Rs 9.7 crore digital cash loss in Q1 FY27. Q2 FY27 was the first positive quarter in the five-quarter digital cash-performance series presented.
For HealthCo overall, cash profit rose to Rs 388.4 crore in H1 FY27 from Rs 260.8 crore in H1 FY26. H1 revenue increased 22% to Rs 6,262.8 crore, while reported PAT rose 70% to Rs 222.2 crore from Rs 130.4 crore. Online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247 revenue grew 18% to Rs 749.6 crore, and its EBITDA before Apollo 247 costs increased 46% to Rs 149.8 crore.
The half-year figures also show the gap between earnings before platform costs and reported segment EBITDA. Online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247 incurred Rs 158.1 crore of Apollo 247 operating cost and Rs 24 crore of non-cash ESOP expense in H1 FY27. Consequently, it reported an EBITDA loss of Rs 32.3 crore, even as the digital cash-loss measure narrowed under HealthCo’s stated definition.
Conclusion
Apollo 247’s Rs 1.3 crore digital cash profit in Q2 FY27 marked a reversal from the Rs 38.6 crore loss in the year-earlier quarter, alongside a Rs 120.4 crore increase in quarterly core GMV. HealthCo also increased Q2 revenue by 23% and reported PAT by 64%, while online pharmacy distribution and Apollo 247 generated Rs 401.2 crore of revenue.
The next point to watch is whether Apollo 247 sustains cash positivity after its Rs 8.3 crore digital cash loss for H1 FY27 and while platform operating costs continue. Management also disclosed a composite scheme, approved by shareholders on June 24, 2026, to place omnichannel pharmacy distribution, Apollo 247 and remote telehealth into a New Co, with an estimated listing by Q4 FY27 after required approvals.
