What did BLS E-Services acquire from Atyati Technologies?
BLS E-Services acquired all of Bengaluru-based Atyati Technologies for Rs 157 crore in an all-cash transaction effective 2 July 2026. Atyati provides business-correspondent services, micro-lending platforms and last-mile banking infrastructure for banks, adding technology capabilities and distribution capacity to BLS E-Services’ financial-inclusion operations.
The acquired company brought 25,900-plus CSPs across approximately 1 lakh villages and a platform involving 35-plus banks and financial institutions. BLS E-Services says the combination brings digital and micro-lending platforms in-house, while its stated rationale includes shared infrastructure intended to lower cost per transaction. The presentation does not provide Atyati’s separate revenue, profit or valuation multiple.
The acquisition took effect during the first half of financial year 2027. BLS E-Services says the completed transaction contributed to H1FY27 performance, but does not quantify Atyati’s individual contribution to consolidated revenue, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), or profit after tax (PAT).
How did the deal change BLS E-Services’ banking network?
BLS E-Services reported 74,400-plus business-correspondent CSPs as of 30 September 2026, compared with 45,400-plus a year earlier. The reported figures differed by 29,000 CSPs, after Atyati added 25,900-plus CSPs, although the presentation does not identify the source of the remaining network movement.
Total touchpoints rose to 188,200-plus at 30 September 2026 from 147,000-plus at 30 September 2025. The 41,200-plus reported increase exceeds the change in business-correspondent CSPs because total touchpoints are presented as a broader measure than the specific business-correspondent network.
Atyati’s approximately 1 lakh-village footprint expands the geographic reach behind the 74,400-plus CSP total. Its 35-plus bank and financial-institution relationships sit alongside empanelments received by BLS E-Services from Punjab & Sind Bank and Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank in Q2 and H1FY27, although the presentation does not disclose revenue or transaction volumes by bank.

What financial changes followed the Atyati acquisition?
BLS E-Services’ H1FY27 total income increased 40.0% year on year to Rs 737.9 crore from Rs 527.2 crore in H1FY26, while revenue from operations rose 41.8% to Rs 728.5 crore. Management linked the completed Atyati acquisition to the period’s performance, but the consolidated figures include BLS E-Services’ other operations and do not isolate Atyati’s results.
Operating EBITDA increased 32.5% to Rs 50.0 crore in H1FY27 from Rs 37.7 crore. Reported EBITDA, which includes other income, rose 15.9% to Rs 59.3 crore, while PAT increased 9.4% to Rs 39.2 crore from Rs 35.8 crore.
Income growth exceeded the increase in reported earnings, and margins declined. EBITDA margin was 8.0% in H1FY27 versus 9.7% in H1FY26, while PAT margin was 5.3% versus 6.8%; employee-benefit expense rose to Rs 45.8 crore from Rs 20.9 crore and depreciation to Rs 7.3 crore from Rs 2.9 crore. BLS E-Services does not attribute these movements specifically to Atyati.
What operating scale supports BLS E-Services’ acquisition strategy?
BLS E-Services intends to combine the acquired banking technology and rural distribution with its existing business-correspondent, loan-disbursement, e-governance and assisted e-services segments. Its business-correspondent services include savings and recurring deposit accounts, cash deposits and withdrawals, remittances, transfers and bill collection, which can be delivered through the expanded CSP network.
Gross transaction value, including loans disbursed, reached Rs 4.14 lakh crore in Q2FY27, compared with Rs 2.73 lakh crore in Q2FY26. Facilitated loan disbursement was Rs 9,500-plus crore, versus Rs 8,600-plus crore a year earlier; while Atyati adds micro-lending platforms, the presentation does not state how much of this loan flow it originated or processed.
The balance sheet recorded goodwill of Rs 204.3 crore at September 2026, up from Rs 167.0 crore at March 2026, while other non-current assets rose to Rs 166.8 crore from Rs 54.1 crore. Total assets increased to Rs 871.8 crore from Rs 761.9 crore during the period containing the acquisition, but BLS E-Services does not provide a purchase-price allocation that explains individual balance-sheet movements.
Conclusion
The Rs 157 crore all-cash acquisition gives BLS E-Services a larger rural banking footprint, 25,900-plus added CSPs, 35-plus bank and financial-institution relationships, and AI-powered banking and micro-lending technology. The period that included the acquisition produced 40.0% H1FY27 total-income growth to Rs 737.9 crore, while EBITDA and PAT margins were below H1FY26 levels.
The disclosed issue to watch is the integration plan for shared infrastructure, which management says is intended to lower cost per transaction and create scale and margin gains. BLS E-Services has not supplied a numerical target or timetable for those gains, nor has it disclosed Atyati’s standalone contribution to the 74,400-plus CSP network or consolidated earnings.
