Innoxel Life Sciences began commercial supply of its first contract-manufacturing product for the US on October 20, 2026, after delivering Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 44.5 crore and EBITDA of Rs 14.6 crore. Management said the export starts a recurring supply stream, but no manufacturing revenue from that shipment was included in Q2 results.

What changed when Innoxel started US commercial supply?
Innoxel moved from development and validation work to commercial supply when its sponsor partner exported the first product made under a contract manufacturing organisation, or CMO, agreement to the US on October 20. Management said the shipment was the first commercial product supplied by Innoxel and arrived about three weeks into Q3 FY27, rather than in Q2 as it had expected in May.
The company did not identify the sponsor partner or molecule because the relevant agreements are confidential. Management said the product’s commercial supply creates a recurring manufacturing revenue stream, distinct from Innoxel’s prior development, licensing and milestone receipts. Its US Food and Drug Administration, or US FDA, Establishment Inspection Report and Belgian regulator good manufacturing practice, or GMP, certificate cover all four production lines, according to management.
The October 20 shipment does not change the composition of reported H1 FY27 income, because it occurred after the September quarter closed. Management said supply revenue should build through the second half, but FY27 will remain primarily a licensing-and-milestone year. The pace of supply ramp-up will therefore be one of the factors management reviews before considering any update to its FY27 range after Q3.
How did Innoxel perform before supply revenue began?
Innoxel reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 44.5 crore, up 253% year on year and 108% from Rs 21.4 crore in Q1 FY27, before any contribution from the October shipment. EBITDA reached Rs 14.6 crore, a 33% margin, compared with losses in both the prior-year quarter and Q1 FY27.
The Q1-to-Q2 comparison indicates the effect of Innoxel’s largely fixed cost base. Revenue rose Rs 23.1 crore between the two FY27 quarters, while EBITDA increased Rs 16.5 crore. Management said most incremental revenue flowed to profit, but cautioned that the 33% quarterly margin should be read alongside the uneven timing of licensing and milestone income.
For H1 FY27, Innoxel recorded revenue of Rs 65.9 crore, up 219% year on year and close to the Rs 72.4 crore it generated in all of FY26. H1 EBITDA was Rs 12.8 crore, while loss after tax was about Rs 4.9 crore because the first quarter was loss-making. Within Bharat Parenterals Limited’s four-company group, management said Innoxel produced more than 60% of Q2 EBITDA.

Why will licensing income still shape Innoxel's FY27 results?
Licensing, development and milestone income will still shape Innoxel’s FY27 result because the first commercial shipment started only on October 20 and management expects manufacturing revenue to build through H2. None of the new supply revenue was included in Q2 revenue of Rs 44.5 crore or H1 revenue of Rs 65.9 crore.
Management retained FY27 revenue-growth guidance of 35% to 45% from the FY26 base of Rs 72.4 crore, with EBITDA margin guidance of 20% to 25% and licensing income of roughly Rs 80 crore to Rs 90 crore. It said H1 revenue was ahead of the full-year growth trajectory, but milestone payments are lumpy and the company will wait for Q3 before deciding whether the guidance range needs revision.
A lower milestone quarter can reduce Innoxel’s reported margin even if commercial supply increases, management said. The company described three revenue streams: licensing and milestones, commercial manufacturing, and profit share from Innoxel-developed products after market entry. Management said profit-share terms are based on contract-specific definitions of net sales and profit, rather than a share of gross revenue.
Management added that margins could rise above 35% to 40% when profit-share income becomes material, but it gave neither a firm margin target nor a timetable for that stage. The current 20% to 25% FY27 EBITDA margin guidance therefore reflects a year in which milestone timing remains important and commercial manufacturing has only begun in Q3.
When could Innoxel commercialise a second CMO product?
Innoxel expects to commercialise a second CMO product within FY27, subject to US FDA approval. Management did not disclose the molecule, partner or approval date, making the regulatory decision the outstanding condition separating the second product from the first product already exported on October 20.
Management said Innoxel’s development pipeline includes abbreviated new drug application, or ANDA, projects and 505(b)(2) new drug application projects. An ANDA generally takes about 15 to 18 months from exhibit-batch manufacturing to approval, depending on the US FDA, while a 505(b)(2) filing generally needs 12 months of real-time stability data, compared with six months for an ANDA.
Management expects most products currently under development to reach the market by FY30, although that expectation depends on each filing pathway and regulatory approval. It said Innoxel’s projects are complex and generally have lower volume thresholds than standard generics, so capacity use is not the primary indicator of revenue potential for the CMO business.
Innoxel is also preparing exhibit batches for its liposomal programme in November after substantially completing scale-up work. Management said commercial-scale results were in line with laboratory results and expected the product to be ready for filing in Q1 of the next financial year. That programme is separate from the second CMO product management expects to commercialise within FY27.
Conclusion
Innoxel’s October 20 US export marks the beginning of commercial manufacturing after a Q2 FY27 in which revenue reached Rs 44.5 crore and EBITDA reached Rs 14.6 crore. The quarter showed the operational leverage of higher licensing and milestone income, while the first commercial shipment introduced a new revenue stream that had not yet affected reported earnings.
The next milestones are the pace of H2 supply revenue, the timing of licensing and milestone receipts, and the US FDA decision for the second CMO product targeted within FY27. Management said it will review guidance after Q3, while November liposomal exhibit batches and the planned Q1 filing next financial year are further disclosed development events to watch.
