How large is Share India’s paid uTrade subscription base?
Share India has disclosed 7,993 paid uTrade subscriptions from 73,551 total subscriptions. Paid subscriptions therefore account for 10.9% of the total, based on the two figures presented, while 65,558 subscriptions are not identified as paid. The presentation does not disclose subscription pricing, paid-plan revenue, churn, active users or the period over which the subscription base was built.
Share India presents paid subscriptions as an intermediate point in a seven-stage user funnel rather than its stated end point. The sequence shown is free users, active users, paid subscribers, algo traders, margin trading facility users, wealth or portfolio management service customers, and high-value customers. The disclosed numbers establish subscription scale, but do not show how many subscribers trade, hold a Share India brokerage account, use financing or buy wealth products.
What does Share India’s uTrade platform offer users?
Share India describes uTrade Algos as a no-code, institutional-grade algorithmic trading platform for retail and high-net-worth individual investors. The platform enables pre-built or customised strategy deployment using artificial intelligence-powered analytics, backtesting and risk tools, and it can connect with brokerage accounts, including Share India accounts, for direct execution and real-time monitoring.
The platform has a library of 20 approved strategies supported by historical backtesting, risk assessment and risk-testing tools. Share India says these 20 strategies had “100% back-tested accuracy” in Q2FY27, but does not define the accuracy methodology, identify the strategies, publish returns or state whether historical results were replicated in live execution.
uTrade also presents an artificial intelligence trading assistant, stock screener, initial public offering information, volatility index risk assessment, event monitoring and options-strategy concepts for NIFTY and BANKNIFTY. Its equity-strategy feature is described as creating concepts with entry and exit rules, chosen indicators and risk-management parameters, while its product material frames these tools as support for research and strategy development.
How does uTrade connect to Share India’s technology stack?
Share India places uTrade within an integrated capital-markets technology stack that it says employs more than 200 technology experts. uTrade Solutions Pvt. Ltd., in which Share India reports a 63.39% stake, provides no-code, artificial intelligence-driven strategy development through configurable algorithms and quantitative analytics.
The wider stack separates research, execution and strategy functions across group entities. Silverleaf Securities Research Pvt. Ltd., described as 64.81% owned, supplies quantitative research and strategy-development capabilities, while Algowire Trading Technologies Pvt. Ltd., in which Share India has a 51% stake, provides latency-optimised infrastructure for high-speed algorithmic execution. Share India also identifies application programming interface connectivity as a link between trading platforms, execution workflows and portfolio-management systems.
Share India’s retail application includes uAlgo in a new tab with shared sessions and OneApp silent login. The app also includes a margin trading facility dashboard that shows holdings, invested and funded amounts, profit and loss, and approved stocks, while its REST application programming interfaces support custom trading solutions, order execution, portfolio management and position monitoring.

Can Share India convert uTrade users into other customers?
Share India explicitly calls uTrade “the acquisition engine for the entire platform” and identifies margin trading facility, wealth or portfolio management service customers, and high-value customers as later funnel stages. Its business matrix describes broking as customer acquisition, margin trading facility as client monetisation, and wealth, portfolio management services and alternative investment funds as businesses intended to generate recurring fee income.
Margin trading facility is the largest adjacent product quantified in the presentation. Its assets under management rose 32.8% year on year to Rs 588.5 crore in Q2FY27, which Share India attributes to higher client participation and deeper customer engagement. The presentation does not disclose the share of this Rs 588.5 crore sourced from uTrade subscribers, algo traders or another customer-acquisition channel.
At the consolidated level, Share India reported H1FY27 income from operations of Rs 841.6 crore, up 23.3% year on year, and reported net profit of Rs 234.9 crore, up 32.3%. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were Rs 385.4 crore, with a 45.8% margin compared with 43.6% in H1FY26. These group results do not separately identify uTrade revenue, subscription income or profitability.
The quarterly comparison shows that Q2FY27 income from operations was Rs 379.5 crore, below Rs 462.1 crore in Q1FY27, while reported net profit was Rs 102.5 crore versus Rs 132.4 crore. Compared with Q2FY26, however, Q2FY27 income rose 11.3% from Rs 341 crore and net profit increased 10.0% from Rs 93.2 crore. Share India does not attribute either the year-on-year growth or the sequential change to uTrade.
What could the Ace Alpha Tech proposal add to uTrade?
Share India says the proposed amalgamation of Ace Alpha Tech Ltd. could add customised front-end development, multi-vendor application programming interface integration, analytics, risk management and user-management capabilities. Its board has given in-principle approval to evaluate the proposal, and Share India says the combination is expected to support product development, platform integration and client reach.
Ace Alpha reported H1FY27 revenue of Rs 19.81 crore, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of Rs 16.68 crore, and profit after tax of Rs 12.15 crore. Revenue was 120.6% higher year on year and profit after tax was 61.3% higher. These figures concern Ace Alpha rather than uTrade, and the presentation gives no transaction consideration, completion timetable or quantified impact on uTrade subscriptions or revenue.
Conclusion
The 73,551 total subscriptions and 7,993 paid subscriptions show that Share India has a disclosed paid base equal to 10.9% of uTrade’s subscription total. The platform’s stated role extends beyond subscription monetisation, using no-code strategies, brokerage connectivity, application programming interfaces and app tools to support movement toward trading, margin financing and wealth-related services.
The next disclosure to watch is conversion between the funnel stages, especially from paid subscribers to algo traders, margin trading facility users and wealth or portfolio management service customers. Share India’s proposed Ace Alpha Tech amalgamation is also relevant because management expects it to add front-end, integration and user-management capabilities, although no completion schedule or quantified uTrade benefit has been disclosed.
