How did Symphony’s Mexico revenue recover?
Symphony’s IMPCO Mexico revenue was Rs 40 crore in the September quarter, compared with Rs 17 crore in the prior-year period. Management said a delayed summer had reduced sales in the June quarter, while the September-quarter increase recovered part of that earlier loss.
The Mexico result was linked to the timing of seasonal demand rather than to a stated multi-year target. Management said cooling-product sales depend substantially on temperatures: products can sell even at higher prices when temperatures are high, while lower temperatures can limit sales despite discounts.
The disclosed figures do not constitute an aggregate international-revenue total because management did not provide one during the October 29, 2026 call. They instead show that Mexico’s Rs 23 crore year-on-year increase followed a weather-related catch-up, unlike the Australia-US performance reported for a non-seasonal period.
How did Symphony’s overseas markets perform differently?
Symphony said Australia and the United States together generated about Rs 46 crore of revenue, against about Rs 35 crore a year earlier. The combined increase was about Rs 11 crore, although management did not split the current or prior-year amount between the two countries.
Management also said Brazil and the United States recorded year-on-year growth, but called the quarter non-seasonal for those markets. This contrasts with IMPCO Mexico, where the September-quarter revenue of Rs 40 crore was explicitly associated with a recovery from the delayed summer in the June quarter.
GSK China reported Rs 23 crore of sales, but management gave no comparable prior-year figure. The transcript therefore supports a market-specific comparison, not a conclusion that overseas revenue rose at the same rate across Mexico, China, Australia, the United States and Brazil.
An analyst referred to Bonaire in the United States, but management did not disclose its separate revenue or profit contribution. The available Australia-US figure remains a combined amount of about Rs 46 crore, while Mexico and GSK China were disclosed separately at Rs 40 crore and Rs 23 crore, respectively.

How does Symphony source products for overseas markets?
Symphony said the bulk of evaporative air coolers sold internationally is manufactured in India. It also said larger coolers, commercial coolers and industrial coolers are sourced from China, making international cooler supply a mix of Indian manufacturing and China sourcing.
Products other than air coolers are sourced from China, according to management. It cited air conditioners sold in Australia and heaters and fans sold in Mexico, meaning the Rs 40 crore Mexico business operates with product categories supplied differently from the core exported evaporative-air-cooler range.
Management said exporting air conditioners from India did not appear feasible in the foreseeable future because several components, including compressors, continue to come from China. By contrast, it said Symphony is competitive in air coolers and already sells that category internationally from India.
The call did not provide a revenue split between India-sourced and China-sourced products in Mexico, Australia, Brazil or the United States. It did, however, identify China as the supply base for products such as air conditioners, heaters and fans, while placing the bulk of exported evaporative air coolers in India.
What could affect Symphony’s international business next?
Symphony declined to provide a numerical international growth forecast when asked about a potential 30% to 40% compound annual growth rate over three to five years. Management said it had aspirations to grow the international business at a healthy compound annual growth rate, but said uncertainties prevented it from giving a figure.
The Middle East situation was one disclosed constraint on shipments. Management said some customers wanted to buy coolers and, in some instances, had paid in advance, but products could not be shipped; it also said freight costs had increased without quantifying the cost or affected revenue.
Management separately cited tariff-related issues as an uncertainty. That issue is relevant to the sourcing structure it described, under which China supplies products other than air coolers, including air conditioners in Australia and heaters and fans in Mexico.
For its domestic air-conditioner launch, Symphony said it would begin with the general-trade channel before expanding gradually into organised retail. Management said channel finance would allow it to receive money upfront while extending some credit to organised-retail partners, with the aim of limiting working-capital requirements.
Management also said there would be no sales-return arrangement with the manufacturer for unsold branded products. Under the stated outsourced model, the manufacturer earns an agreed margin while Symphony controls product design and takes responsibility for selling products carrying its brand.
Conclusion
Symphony’s international update shows different conditions across markets rather than a single overseas trend. IMPCO Mexico’s revenue rose to Rs 40 crore from Rs 17 crore after sales partly recovered from a delayed summer, while Australia and the United States together reached about Rs 46 crore from about Rs 35 crore. GSK China reported Rs 23 crore without a comparable prior-year amount, and product sourcing varies between India-made air coolers and China-sourced non-cooler products.
The next disclosures to watch are whether Mexico’s sales hold after the seasonal catch-up, whether Middle East cooler shipments can resume, and how freight and tariff conditions develop. Management gave no international growth target, but said it aims for healthy compound growth and indicated it would next interact with investors a quarter after the October 29, 2026 call.
