How did Tatia Global return to standalone quarterly profit?
Tatia Global returned to a standalone quarterly profit because its expenses fell by more than its income. Total income declined by Rs 9.61 lakh year on year to Rs 24.57 lakh in the quarter ended 30 September 2026, while total expenses fell by Rs 24.66 lakh to Rs 13.02 lakh. Profit before tax and net profit were both Rs 11.55 lakh because the standalone statement recorded no tax expense for the quarter.
Revenue from operations was Rs 21.44 lakh, down from Rs 32.41 lakh in the quarter ended 30 September 2025. Other income increased to Rs 3.13 lakh from Rs 1.77 lakh, partly offsetting the Rs 10.97 lakh decline in operating revenue. The standalone statement reported no sales, exceptional items or finance costs in the September 2026 quarter.
The result also improved from the immediately preceding quarter. Net profit rose from Rs 5.89 lakh in the quarter ended 30 June 2026 to Rs 11.55 lakh, as total income increased from Rs 22.52 lakh and expenses decreased from Rs 16.63 lakh. Profit before tax therefore increased by Rs 5.66 lakh quarter on quarter.
What costs changed in Tatia Global's September quarter?
Tatia Global's largest year-on-year expense movement was in other expenses, which declined to Rs 5.88 lakh from Rs 32.53 lakh. The Rs 26.65 lakh reduction was larger than the overall Rs 24.66 lakh fall in total expenses, because employee benefits and depreciation increased during the quarter.
Employee benefits expense increased by Rs 0.56 lakh to Rs 5.70 lakh in the September 2026 quarter. Depreciation, depletion and amortisation rose to Rs 1.44 lakh from Rs 0.01 lakh a year earlier. The standalone results showed no cost of materials consumed, stock-in-trade purchases, inventory changes or finance costs in either September comparison period.
Against the June 2026 quarter, other expenses fell by Rs 5.80 lakh from Rs 11.68 lakh. Employee benefits increased by Rs 2.19 lakh from Rs 3.51 lakh, while depreciation remained Rs 1.44 lakh. These movements reduced total expenses by Rs 3.61 lakh sequentially.
Tatia Global stated that it has one area of operation and therefore did not provide segment reporting. The filing also says the company carried out asset impairment and made provisions wherever applicable for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, but the standalone income statement does not separately quantify an impairment charge.

Why did Tatia Global's consolidated profit exceed standalone profit?
Tatia Global reported consolidated net profit of Rs 8.56 crore for the September 2026 quarter, compared with standalone net profit of Rs 11.55 lakh. The company said its subsidiaries monetised part of their land inventory, contributing Rs 8.32 crore to consolidated profits for the holding company during the quarter.
Consolidated sales were Rs 10.23 crore in the September quarter, whereas the standalone statement recorded no sales. Consolidated total income was Rs 10.61 crore and total expenses were Rs 2.05 crore, against standalone total income of Rs 24.57 lakh and expenses of Rs 13.02 lakh. The comparison shows that the group result included subsidiary activity absent from the standalone accounts.
Consolidated inventory changes were Rs 1.91 crore in the September 2026 quarter, while the standalone statement showed no inventory-change expense. Consolidated other income was Rs 16.67 lakh, compared with Rs 3.13 lakh standalone. Consolidated profit before tax was Rs 8.56 crore, versus a Rs 8.74 lakh loss in the September 2025 quarter.
The filing also reported consolidated total comprehensive income of Rs 11.49 crore for the quarter, including Rs 3.42 crore of items not to be reclassified to profit or loss and a related Rs 48.91 lakh income-tax amount. Separately, the standalone total comprehensive income was Rs 3.05 crore, although its standalone net profit was Rs 11.55 lakh. The filing says investment revaluation effects were included in other comprehensive income.
Conclusion
Tatia Global's standalone turnaround in the quarter ended 30 September 2026 was principally a cost movement rather than a revenue recovery. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 21.44 lakh from Rs 32.41 lakh, but other expenses fell to Rs 5.88 lakh from Rs 32.53 lakh, taking total expenses down to Rs 13.02 lakh and producing Rs 11.55 lakh of net profit.
The next reported period will indicate whether standalone operating revenue, which was Rs 42.29 lakh for the half year versus Rs 63.17 lakh a year earlier, improves while the lower expense base is maintained. The filing also leaves the amount of any asset impairment unquantified and confirms that no interim dividend was declared for the September 2026 quarter.
