How much disclosed income did Voltas book in Q2 FY27?
Voltas booked Rs 139.01 crore of other operating income in Q2 FY27, including a Rs 63.04 crore Qatar-project writeback and Rs 25 crore of Production Linked Incentive, or PLI, income. These two disclosed items totalled Rs 88.04 crore, compared with total other operating income of Rs 32.93 crore in Q2 FY26.
The Qatar writeback followed the final resolution of a dispute related to a 2010 subcontract undertaken through the group’s Qatar branch. The group had issued bank guarantees of Rs 437.99 crore to the main contractor, which had been disclosed as contingent liabilities in earlier financial statements.
The Court of Cassation in Qatar dismissed the main contractor’s appeal on 30 August 2026, upholding the Court of Appeal judgment dated 4 May 2026. Voltas said the bank guarantees had been cancelled and the matter had attained finality, after which it reassessed project provisions and payables and wrote back Rs 63.04 crore in Q2.
The Rs 25 crore PLI income was recognised after approvals from the concerned authorities became effective from 1 April 2025. It included Rs 15 crore relating to April 2025 to March 2026 and Rs 5 crore relating to April to June 2026, with the full recognised amount included in other operating income.

The reported result also included Rs 88.04 crore of specifically disclosed Qatar-related writeback and PLI income within Rs 139.01 crore of other operating income, clarifying the composition of the quarter’s earnings.
The next disclosed event is the expected consummation by 31 December 2026, or another mutually agreed date, of the transfer of Voltas’ Dubai and Abu Dhabi branches to Universal MEP Contracting L.L.C. Voltas said the transaction would not affect consolidated results; execution of the order book exceeding Rs 6,800 crore and the seasonal progression of UCP remain additional disclosed matters to watch.
