Intellect Design Arena Limited said seven of its 21 wins in the second quarter of FY27, ended September 30, 2026, were AI-led, spanning banking, insurance, procurement and retail. The seven-win count is management’s stated evidence that artificial intelligence is becoming a direct reason customers select Intellect’s products rather than only an embedded feature.

How many AI-led deals did Intellect win in Q2 FY27?
Intellect won seven AI-led deals among 21 total wins in Q2 FY27, meaning AI-led deals represented one-third of the quarter’s reported wins. Management said artificial intelligence was winning business on its own merit, rather than serving only as an addition to the company’s established banking software proposals.
Intellect did not disclose the contract value, implementation timetable, revenue recognition or profitability of the seven AI-led wins. It separately reported eight destiny wins in Q2, compared with seven in Q1, and 15 destiny conversions in the first half of FY27. The transcript does not say how many AI-led wins also met the company’s destiny-win classification.
Management linked the sales activity to proprietary artificial intelligence and MSOCK, a multi-dimensional, multi-layer system of connected knowledge launched in September. Intellect said MSOCK had been validated across 141 internal projects and had 39 patents filed by Q2. The company describes the mechanism as connecting enterprise knowledge so artificial intelligence can assess systems, rules, dependencies and potential change impacts under governance.
Which sectors and products produced Intellect’s AI-led wins?
Intellect said its seven AI-led wins included banking, insurance, contract research, manufacturing and retail applications. A large United States property-and-casualty insurer selected Intellect in two deals for AI-led submission processing and underwriting, according to management’s Q2 commentary.
In banking, an AI-led digital bank in Bahrain selected eMACH.ai as its digital core for business clients and digital assets. One of Mexico’s largest banks selected AI-led document processing for a new trade-finance platform. These examples placed artificial intelligence in core banking and operating workflows rather than describing it as a general product capability.
Beyond banking, a global contract research organisation and an Indian precision manufacturer selected iAPX, Intellect’s procurement platform, for AI-led accounts-payable automation. A leading retailer in Kuwait selected Intellect’s AI-driven customer-personalisation offering. These customer examples are the disclosed basis for management’s assertion that AI-led sales are extending into adjacent sectors.
Intellect also said eMACH.ai and Purple Fabric were engineered using MSOCK. Purple Fabric was named Best AI Development Platform at the ET Enterprise AI Awards, while Chairman and Managing Director Arun Jain was recognised as an Indian CEO Driving AI Innovation. These awards were cited by management as market recognition, not as evidence of deal value or customer adoption.
How did Intellect’s go-lives and financial metrics change?
Intellect took 25 institutions live in Q2 FY27, up from 16 in Q1, while total cost stayed flat quarter on quarter despite higher marketing expense. Management attributed the higher delivery output from the same cost base partly to MSOCK, but did not quantify the technology’s individual effect on implementation costs or project timing.
On a last-twelve-month, or LTM, basis, total income reached Rs 3,388 crore, up 17% year on year. License-linked revenue, comprising licence, platform and annual maintenance contract, or AMC, revenue, increased 18% to Rs 1,768 crore from Rs 1,497 crore and accounted for 52% of total income. Platform revenue increased 51% to Rs 591 crore from Rs 392 crore, while AMC revenue rose 12% to Rs 603 crore.
For Q2 FY27, total income was Rs 878 crore and license-linked revenue was Rs 457 crore, or about 52% of income. Platform revenue was Rs 133 crore and AMC revenue was Rs 160 crore. Gross margin was 57.2%, above the 56.7% LTM figure, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, was Rs 199 crore, equal to 22.7% of revenue.

What pipeline is Intellect seeking to convert into growth?
Intellect said its immediate priorities are commercialising artificial intelligence and MSOCK, while converting a higher-value pipeline of Rs 13,125 crore. The pipeline was up 9% year on year and was close to four times trailing income, according to management. It contained 103 destiny deals: 29 above Rs 50 crore, 35 between Rs 30 crore and Rs 50 crore, and 39 between Rs 20 crore and Rs 30 crore.
Management said pipeline growth had moderated because Intellect was focusing on conversion rather than simply expanding the pipeline. It added 18 high-value pursuits and said 16 decisions had been made, with half resulting in wins. Intellect also said newer wins increasingly combine an upfront licence with multi-year annual subscription fees, without disclosing subscription values or durations.
The Americas and Europe produced nine of 21 Q2 wins, more than half of the quarter’s value and more than half of new signings, management said. Disclosed examples included eMACH.ai Trade Finance at one of Mexico’s largest banks, eMACH.ai Payments for a Nordic institution’s United Kingdom operations, and Payments for a United States financial-services provider.
How is Intellect using MSOCK to deepen customer relationships?
Intellect said MSOCK is intended to shorten and govern complex implementation work, supporting both initial delivery and subsequent platform sales. In Mexico, management said a customer that had modernised its cash-management platform extended its engagement to eMACH.ai Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance after the initial delivery.
Management said a programme of that scale typically takes 18 to 24 months, while Intellect is designing the Mexico programme for delivery in 12 to 14 months using MSOCK. That timetable is a management target rather than a completed delivery outcome. The transcript also cited three programmes delivered ahead of plan, including an Asian wealth platform completed four months early on a 15-month programme.
A cash-management platform for a major Middle East institution went live three months early on an 11-month programme, management said. It also said a European lending-platform transformation was advanced by three months. These examples support management’s delivery argument, but the transcript does not provide the associated contract values, revenue contribution or margin outcomes.
Conclusion
Intellect’s Q2 FY27 disclosure gives a specific measure of AI-led selling: seven of 21 wins were attributed to artificial intelligence, with disclosed applications in insurance underwriting, banking document processing, accounts-payable automation and retail personalisation. The wider operating data showed 25 go-lives against 16 in Q1, while LTM income increased 17% to Rs 3,388 crore and platform revenue rose 51% to Rs 591 crore.
The next point to watch is conversion of the Rs 13,125 crore pipeline, particularly its 103 destiny deals and 18 new high-value pursuits. Management’s stated plan is to commercialise artificial intelligence and MSOCK while converting that pipeline; it is also designing the Mexico trade-finance and supply-chain-finance programme for a 12-to-14-month delivery period instead of the stated typical 18 to 24 months.
