Sumeet Industries is an integrated polyester manufacturer producing PET chips, partially oriented yarn (POY), fully drawn yarn (FDY) and texturised yarns from its Surat complex, combining captive power, waste recycling and spinning assets to serve apparel, home textiles and industrial segments while pursuing export readiness and premium product mix.

The company’s ownership was materially reset by an NCLT-sanctioned takeover by Eagle Group in 2024, which removed legacy liabilities and generated an exceptional INR170 crore non-operational gain; the new promoter has prioritised operational discipline, supplier negotiation and a rights issue to support growth and balance-sheet repair.

Operational performance for Q3 FY26 showed consolidated revenue of INR267.74 crore, EBITDA of INR16.66 crore (6.22% margin) and PAT of INR9.04 crore; nine-month numbers were INR786.83 crore revenue, INR46.09 crore EBITDA (5.86% margin) and PAT INR26.88 crore, with management noting profit from continuing operations rose about 205% year-on-year.

Management’s strategic priorities are clear: execute a capital-backed capacity increase (targeting 30–40% additional throughput), upgrade machinery to shift into higher-margin specialty yarns, and expand renewable energy sourcing to materially lower power costs and improve margin sustainability while building export channels into Asia and Africa.
