Qualiance International Limited has guided for FY27 revenue of about Rs 76 crore to Rs 77 crore, in line with FY26, despite H1 FY27 revenue falling Rs 7.49 crore year on year to Rs 30.97 crore. Management’s plan depends on releasing more than Rs 6 crore of Swiss government shipments delayed by inspection, existing orders and larger domestic customer orders.

Why did Qualiance revenue decline in H1 FY27?
Qualiance said H1 FY27 revenue declined chiefly because Swiss government orders ready for dispatch could not be invoiced before inspection and final approvals. Revenue was Rs 30.97 crore in H1 FY27, compared with Rs 38.46 crore in H1 FY26, while management quantified the delayed ready goods at a little more than Rs 6 crore. The gap between periods was Rs 7.49 crore.
The pending orders relate to Qualiance’s Government of Switzerland institutional business, where management said inspections are a regular part of supply procedures rather than a new issue. These procedures can include pre-shipment and post-shipment samples, random audits, spot audits and surprise visits. Management said the Swiss customer was expected to visit in the second half of November, after the Diwali period, so the held goods could then be released for shipment.
Lower billing also coincided with lower utilisation at Qualiance’s existing plant. Management estimated H1 FY27 capacity utilisation at about 80%, versus 88% in FY26, and attributed the lower utilisation to EBITDA falling to Rs 5.26 crore from Rs 7.51 crore. EBITDA margin declined to 17% in H1 FY27 from 19.5% in H1 FY26.
Can Qualiance meet its FY27 revenue guidance?
Qualiance’s stated FY27 revenue target is roughly Rs 76 crore to Rs 77 crore, not the Rs 80 crore scenario raised by an analyst during the call. Management said the target would match FY26 and is supported by the H1 shipment spillover, its existing-customer pipeline and larger orders from newly onboarded domestic customers. The more than Rs 6 crore of held Swiss goods have already been produced, so they do not require additional manufacturing capacity before being billed.
Management reported order visibility of about Rs 30 crore when the first month of H2 FY27 had passed. It noted that garment-industry orders are commonly placed three to four months ahead, meaning the order book can change through the remaining period. The Rs 30 crore visibility is not presented as the full-year target, but management cited it alongside the delayed Swiss dispatches and domestic orders as support for reaching Rs 76 crore to Rs 77 crore.
Qualiance also maintained guidance for full-year FY27 EBITDA margin to be in line with FY26, although it did not state the FY26 full-year margin on the call. Management linked the H1 margin of 17% to about 80% utilisation and said operating leverage would improve if volumes returned. Cash flow from operations was about Rs 8.9 crore during the six months, which management said exceeded its cash generation for all of FY26.
Profit after tax was Rs 3.74 crore in H1 FY27, versus Rs 5.25 crore in H1 FY26. Management said H1 FY26 included a one-time, non-cash deferred-tax credit of about Rs 1.52 crore and therefore described underlying profit as broadly stable despite lower revenue. It also reported debt-to-equity of 0.25 times for the reported period.

How will domestic orders support Qualiance in FY27?
Qualiance expects domestic business to account for 14% to 15% of FY27 volume, compared with domestic sales representing 1% of FY26 revenue. Management said it had onboarded high-value Indian customers, including a premium outdoor and performance brand for which it is manufacturing technical outerwear. It expects these domestic customers to place larger orders during H2 FY27.
Management said domestic supply avoids the two to three months of shipping time associated with export orders, allowing inventory to convert into sales and cash more quickly. It also said domestic business margins are in line with expected margins in international business. Qualiance’s product categories include military and defence apparel, technical outerwear, uniforms, workwear, personal protective equipment, activewear and sun-protective garments.
The domestic expansion is also management’s stated response to sluggish ordering from US customers. Management said uncertainty around a possible 100% US tariff had discouraged customers with order cycles of about three months from committing to orders. An analyst described the US as 17% of geographical revenue mix, and management said it believed domestic demand could absorb that share through marketing and customer onboarding.
Qualiance does not expect to add geographies in H2 FY27. Management said it will continue serving Switzerland, the US, the UK and India, while the domestic share increases. The FY27 plan therefore relies on gaining more business in current markets rather than on sales from a new export geography.
What is Qualiance’s new-facility plan and ramp-up target?
Qualiance is building a facility at Pongupalayam, Avinashi, in Tamil Nadu, with commercial operations targeted for Q1 FY28. Management expects construction to be completed by February 2027, machinery installation in March 2027, and trial runs and certifications thereafter. The facility is designed to add about 10.8 lakh garments of annual capacity to the existing 4.5 lakh pieces, taking total installed capacity to about 15.3 lakh pieces.
Management put capital expenditure for the project at about Rs 40 crore, to be funded from IPO proceeds. About Rs 24 crore to Rs 25 crore is earmarked for construction, with the balance allocated to machinery, solar systems and related requirements. It said machinery orders were planned for December, with deliveries expected around February-end or early March once the shop floor is ready.
Management expects the new plant to run at 30% to 35% utilisation in its first year because it will contribute for only three quarters. It projected about 60% utilisation in the second year and about 90% in the third year, while saying the ramp-up would be paced with customer commitments. Domestic customers could account for about 25% of the new capacity, and management said it aims to limit any single customer to around 25% of capacity.
At about 88% utilisation, management estimated that the additional 10.8 lakh-piece capacity could generate peak revenue of about Rs 180 crore, excluding the existing facility. That is a longer-term capacity estimate, not FY27 guidance, because the new plant is scheduled to begin commercial operations only in Q1 FY28. Qualiance said technical-garment customer onboarding requires a gradual process rather than immediate capacity filling.
Conclusion
Qualiance’s FY27 guidance calls for revenue of about Rs 76 crore to Rs 77 crore, matching FY26 rather than extending the prior year’s growth rate. The plan rests on shipment of more than Rs 6 crore of ready Swiss government goods, conversion of about Rs 30 crore of order visibility and a domestic business mix targeted at 14% to 15% of FY27 volume. H1 FY27 results showed the immediate effect of delayed billing and lower utilisation, with revenue of Rs 30.97 crore and EBITDA margin of 17%.
The next disclosed milestone is the expected Swiss inspection in the second half of November, after which management expects the pending shipments to be released. Investors can also watch domestic-order conversion amid unresolved US tariff uncertainty and execution of the Rs 40 crore plant project, including February 2027 construction completion, March 2027 machinery installation and the Q1 FY28 commercial-operation target.
