Did Regency Fincorp's H1 FY27 income and PAT exceed FY26?
Yes. Regency Fincorp management said H1 FY27 income of Rs 49.87 crore and profit after tax, or PAT, of Rs 16.3 crore had surpassed the respective FY26 full-year figures. The call did not disclose the underlying FY26 annual income or PAT amounts, so the amount by which the first-half figures exceeded the prior year cannot be calculated from the transcript.
H1 FY27 income rose 164% year on year, while PAT increased 146%, according to management. It attributed the increase to loan-book growth, higher earning assets, operating leverage and cost management. Management reported quarterly income of Rs 32.44 crore and PAT of Rs 9.01 crore, representing stated year-on-year growth of 240% and 170.37%, respectively.
The Q2 income figure represented about two-thirds of H1 income, based on the reported Rs 32.44 crore and Rs 49.87 crore figures. The transcript describes the quarterly result as “quarter two financial year 2026” even though the October 26, 2026 call was identified as a Q2 and H1 FY27 call; it does not reconcile that wording.
How did Regency Fincorp's loan book grow by September 2026?
Regency Fincorp's assets under management, or AUM, reached Rs 610.25 crore at September 30, 2026, and management said the total was more than three times the year-earlier level. Its secured loan book rose to Rs 452 crore from Rs 60.5 crore at September 30, 2025, which management described as sevenfold year-on-year growth.
The secured book is focused on collateral-backed lending to micro, small and medium enterprises, or MSMEs. Cumulative secured-MSME disbursements were about Rs 252 crore across 2,366 active loans as of September 2026, with property-backed lending central to the segment. Management said branches and its credit-assessment process support this distribution model.
Management intends to increase secured MSME lending to 75% of the overall portfolio. It said this segment has collateral coverage above 100% and a loan-to-value, or LTV, ratio of 60%. These are management's stated underwriting parameters and portfolio objectives, rather than an assurance of future loan performance.
What did CashMySalary contribute to Regency Fincorp's growth?
CashMySalary disbursed Rs 125 crore in H1 FY27 and had more than 87,000 active loans, according to Regency Fincorp. Management said the digital platform operated across 15,000 pin codes in 25 states, making digital lending the second principal operating pillar alongside secured MSME finance.
The managing director separately said CashMySalary served customers in 26 states and four union territories across more than 15,250 pin codes. The October 26 call did not explain the difference between these geographic disclosures. Regency Fincorp said its technology-led model allows it to extend credit without a proportionate increase in physical branch infrastructure.
Regency Fincorp launched JetFund for salary advances and personal loans from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh, with 24-hour, seven-day disbursement availability. The company also said it had 390 in-house employees, had expanded its digital team and moved to a larger Noida office. Its operational measures include digital disbursement, electronic know-your-customer processes, electronic signatures and artificial intelligence-enabled equated monthly instalment reminders.

What do Regency Fincorp's funding and asset-quality figures show?
Regency Fincorp raised about Rs 425 crore through non-convertible debentures, or NCDs, and term loans during H1 FY27, while outstanding borrowings were Rs 505 crore at September 30, 2026. Its capital adequacy ratio was 28.55% and its debt-to-equity ratio was 2.66 times at that date.
Management said it aimed to keep leverage below 3.5 times net worth, while suggesting an operating range of three to 3.2 times. Net worth stood at Rs 189.55 crore, and management expected roughly Rs 100 crore to be added before the March 2027 balance sheet through the proposed equity round. Those expectations depend on the proposed capital raising being completed.
Gross non-performing assets, or GNPA, were 0.99% and net non-performing assets, or NNPA, were 0.75% at September 2026. Management said gross NPAs were no more than Rs 6.2 crore on the Rs 610.25 crore AUM base, with asset-backed recovery of about Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 2.75 crore. Net interest margin rose to 7.54% in H1 FY27 from 3.51% in H1 FY26, which management attributed to portfolio mix and a lower blended cost of funds.
What is Regency Fincorp targeting for FY27?
Regency Fincorp is targeting AUM of about Rs 900 crore to Rs 950 crore by the end of FY27 and PAT of Rs 40 crore to Rs 42 crore or higher. Management linked those targets to continued growth in lending, while citing underwriting, collections, asset quality and funding-cost optimisation as execution priorities.
On October 16, 2026, the board approved a proposed preferential issue of about Rs 312 crore, subject to required approvals and completion. Management said the proceeds are intended for a digital-lending-platform acquisition, a gold-loan-business acquisition, onward MSME lending and general corporate purposes. It expects net worth to rise from Rs 190 crore to Rs 290 crore by March 2027 and to Rs 615 crore by March 2028 once the full preferential issue is paid up.
Management said it intends to deploy proceeds first toward the proposed digital-platform acquisition. It expects the proposed gold-loan acquisition to progress in the following three to four months, subject to approvals and transaction completion. The gold-loan business and digital platform had not been acquired as of the October 26 call.
Conclusion
Regency Fincorp's reported H1 FY27 income of Rs 49.87 crore and PAT of Rs 16.3 crore exceeding the respective FY26 totals coincided with AUM reaching Rs 610.25 crore. The Rs 452 crore secured book and Rs 125 crore of CashMySalary disbursements show that collateral-backed MSME loans and digital lending were both contributing to the larger earnings base.
The next measures to watch are progress toward management's FY27 targets of Rs 900 crore to Rs 950 crore in AUM and Rs 40 crore to Rs 42 crore or higher in PAT. Approval and completion of the proposed Rs 312 crore preferential issue, followed by the proposed digital-platform and gold-loan acquisitions, will determine whether the planned additions to lending capacity proceed.
