What does Sansera’s Rs 224.1 crore order book measure?
Sansera’s Rs 224.1 crore order book measures peak annual revenue from new business rather than cumulative contract value, current sales or revenue already recognised in Q2FY27. It covers letters of intent and purchase orders for programmes where production started after 1 April 2026 or has not yet begun.
The measure excludes the ADS business because Sansera reports ADS orders as a cumulative unexecuted backlog rather than peak annual revenue. Management said this separate treatment avoids duplicating ADS value in the rest of the order book. At September 2026, ADS backlog stood at Rs 586.97 crore and was expected to be executable in about five years.
Sansera said the orders reported at 31 March 2026 had moved to mass production on 1 April 2026. Their peak value is expected to enter reported revenue as programmes mature. The September 2026 order book therefore identifies later new-business awards whose annual revenue potential is yet to be fully realised.
How has Sansera’s order book changed since September 2025?
Sansera’s order book rose by Rs 60.1 crore, from Rs 164 crore in September 2025 to Rs 224.1 crore in September 2026. The increase was not linear: the reported total was Rs 183 crore in December 2025, Rs 169 crore in March 2026 and Rs 185 crore in June 2026 before the September increase.
Auto-ICE delivered the largest absolute increase, rising Rs 53 crore over the year to Rs 155 crore. Non-auto increased by Rs 9 crore to Rs 34 crore, while Auto-Tech Agnostic and xEV combined declined by Rs 2 crore to Rs 35 crore. The September 2026 expansion was therefore principally attributable to Auto-ICE awards.
Sansera’s order-book geography also moved toward domestic programmes. Domestic orders represented 49% of the September 2026 order book, compared with 43% in September 2025, while global orders fell from 57% to 51%. Global business nevertheless remained marginally larger than domestic business in the September 2026 measure.
Which businesses account for Sansera’s September 2026 order book?
Auto-ICE accounts for Rs 155 crore of Sansera’s Rs 224.1 crore September 2026 order book. Within the stated peak annual revenue breakdown, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles account for Rs 96 crore, while two-wheelers account for Rs 59 crore.
Auto-Tech Agnostic contributes Rs 12 crore and xEV contributes Rs 23 crore, together making up the Rs 35 crore segment total. Sansera separately reported Rs 34 crore in non-auto peak annual revenue. The company described its strategy as expanding products and customers while pursuing high-growth emerging segments.
ADS is excluded from these segment values, but remains material under its separate reporting framework. Its backlog increased from Rs 446.38 crore at March 2026 to Rs 586.97 crore at September 2026, after Rs 171.56 crore of new orders and Rs 30.97 crore of orders executed during H1FY27.

How does the order book compare with Sansera’s sales mix?
Sansera’s future order book is more weighted to Auto-ICE than its reported Q2FY27 revenue base, although Auto-ICE remained the company’s largest quarterly business. Auto-ICE sales were Rs 66.97 crore in Q2FY27, up from Rs 56.65 crore in Q2FY26, and management said the segment represented 65.7% of sales.
Auto-Tech Agnostic and xEV produced combined Q2FY27 revenue of Rs 13.63 crore, comprising Rs 8.37 crore and Rs 5.26 crore respectively. That was above their combined Rs 10.74 crore revenue in Q2FY26, while their September 2026 order-book value of Rs 35 crore was below the Rs 37 crore recorded in September 2025.
Non-auto revenue more than doubled to Rs 21.35 crore in Q2FY27 from Rs 10.28 crore a year earlier. Management said the non-auto segment contributed 20.9% of quarterly revenue, with ADS sales increasing 206.5% year on year to Rs 16.43 crore in Q2FY27.
At the consolidated level, Sansera reported Q2FY27 revenue of Rs 109.15 crore, up 32% from Rs 82.52 crore in Q2FY26. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 48% to Rs 21.12 crore, and the margin increased to 19.4% from 17.3%; profit after tax rose 52% to Rs 10.86 crore.
What investment plans support Sansera’s order execution?
Sansera plans approximately Rs 80 crore of capital expenditure in FY27 to expand manufacturing capacity and pursue opportunities in emerging technologies. It spent Rs 32.6 crore in H1FY27, following Rs 50.97 crore in FY26 and Rs 59.11 crore in FY25.
For Auto-ICE, Sansera disclosed a forging-capacity addition at Pantnagar Plant 6, primarily for two-wheelers, and an 80,000-square-foot expansion at Manesar Plant 4 for passenger-vehicle and two-wheeler manufacturing. The company also plans additional machined capacity at Bengaluru Plant 2 focused on Auto-Tech Agnostic and xEV applications.
Sansera’s ADS projects include an 80,000-square-foot hangar at its existing campus, a 45,000-square-foot defence facility and a brownfield surface-coating facility next to its Bengaluru ADS plant. The company reported incremental asset-turn targets of 1.25 to 1.3 times for automotive projects and 2.0 to 2.2 times for ADS.
Conclusion
Sansera’s September 2026 order book excluding ADS shows Rs 224.1 crore of future peak annual revenue potential, Rs 60.1 crore above the September 2025 level. Auto-ICE supplied Rs 155 crore of this pipeline, while non-auto contributed Rs 34 crore and Auto-Tech Agnostic plus xEV contributed Rs 35 crore. The mix indicates that Auto-ICE remains the largest identified source of future annual revenue potential.
The next disclosed milestones are the three-year expected ramp of the new-business order book and execution of approximately Rs 80 crore of FY27 capital expenditure. Management’s ADS revenue guidance of Rs 55 crore to Rs 60 crore for FY27, against a Rs 586.97 crore backlog expected to be executable in about five years, is another stated execution measure to watch.
