What drove Titan Eye+'s Q2FY27 EBIT margin expansion?
Titan Eye+ reported EBIT of Rs 23 crore in Q2FY27, compared with Rs 12 crore in Q2FY26. The financial table puts year-on-year EBIT growth at 91.7%, while the accompanying narrative says EBIT grew 98%; both disclosures show that EBIT almost doubled from the prior-year quarter.
EBIT margin increased from 5.3% in Q2FY26 to 8.2% in Q2FY27, a rise of 291 basis points, where 100 basis points equal one percentage point. Management attributed the increase to operating leverage, while the presentation does not provide a breakdown of operating costs or identify the individual expenses behind the change.
Total income rose by Rs 61 crore year on year, from Rs 220 crore to Rs 281 crore, while EBIT increased by Rs 11 crore. This comparison is consistent with the stated operating-leverage explanation, but Titan Eye+ does not publish store-level profitability, employee costs or marketing costs for the EyeCare division.
Did Titan Eye+ grow income without expanding its store base?
Titan Eye+ increased total income 27.7% to Rs 281 crore in Q2FY27 despite making no net store additions. The division opened 27 stores and closed 27 stores during the quarter, and it also reported 23% year-on-year secondary UCP growth across its omni-channel measure, which combines retail-channel and Titan E-commerce portal growth.
The domestic line in the business-performance table increased 28.4%, to Rs 277 crore from Rs 215 crore, whereas international income declined 3.2%, to Rs 4 crore from Rs 5 crore. Domestic income therefore accounted for more than the Rs 61 crore increase in total income, offsetting the Rs 1 crore reduction in the international line.
The narrative separately says domestic business grew 28% to Rs 227 crore, which differs from the Rs 277 crore stated in the table for Q2FY27. Titan Eye+ does not explain or reconcile the Rs 50 crore difference, so the presentation does not establish which domestic figure should be used for detailed analysis.
How did Titan Eye+'s retail network change during Q2FY27?
Titan Eye+ ended September 2026 with 838 domestic stores and seven international stores, unchanged from June 2026. Its domestic town presence fell by six, from 319 towns to 313 towns, showing that the matched store openings and closures changed the location mix even though the total number of stores was flat.
Reported retail area increased by 17 thousand square feet, from 569 thousand square feet in June 2026 to 586 thousand square feet in September 2026. Titan Eye+ says net area additions include refurbishments of existing stores, meaning the area movement cannot be directly matched to the zero net change in store count.
The network also included nine Runway stores at September 2026, unchanged from June 2026, with 3.4 thousand square feet of area. Runway's town presence declined from seven to six, while the presentation provides no separate income or EBIT disclosure for that format.

Did premium and differentiated products support growth?
Titan Eye+ said momentum was broad-based across its owned and international portfolios, with increasing customer preference for brands and differentiated offerings. It reported strong double-digit growth in lenses, frames and sunglasses, although it did not disclose income, volumes, average selling prices or margins for any of those categories.
Management also said international brands continued on a healthy growth trajectory, reflecting interest in premium offerings. That commentary cannot be directly reconciled with the reported international-income line, which decreased to Rs 4 crore in Q2FY27 from Rs 5 crore a year earlier, because the presentation gives no brand-level sales data or definition linking the two measures.
Titan Eye+ presented Myoslo Lens as a product designed to help manage myopia progression in children and support visual development. The document does not disclose Myoslo Lens revenue, pricing, store availability, rollout plans or profitability, so its financial contribution to the 27.7% income growth is not quantified.
What role did network refreshes play in the quarter?
Titan Eye+ renovated 32 stores in Q2FY27 while recording no net additions to its store base. Alongside the 17-thousand-square-foot increase in reported area, the renovations indicate that the division was updating parts of its existing estate while simultaneously opening and closing 27 stores each.
The presentation does not quantify revenue growth, customer conversion, transaction volumes or costs at the 32 renovated stores. It therefore supports the fact of network refreshes, but not a measured link between renovations and the rise in EBIT from Rs 12 crore to Rs 23 crore.
The combination of 838 domestic stores, 313 domestic towns and 586 thousand square feet at September 2026 shows that Titan Eye+ retained a large physical network even as its town coverage declined by six during the quarter. The reported results point to higher income and EBIT on a broadly unchanged store base, while the presentation attributes margin expansion specifically to operating leverage.
Conclusion
Titan Eye+ combined 27.7% total-income growth with a 291-basis-point EBIT-margin increase in Q2FY27, moving EBIT to Rs 23 crore without any net store additions. The table shows domestic income rose Rs 62 crore while international income declined Rs 1 crore, and the division simultaneously renovated 32 stores.
The next disclosure to watch is whether Titan Eye+ provides a reconciliation between the Rs 227 crore domestic figure in the narrative and the Rs 277 crore figure in its table. The presentation gives no future store-count target, Myoslo Lens rollout target or renovation timetable, leaving the contribution of network refreshes and differentiated products to later quarters unresolved.
