When did Aster DM Quality Care complete the QCIL merger?
Aster DM Quality Care completed the merger with Quality Care India Limited, or QCIL, with effect from 1 July 2026. The National Company Law Tribunal sanctioned the scheme on 19 June 2026, and the applicant companies filed approvals and other documents with the Registrar of Companies, Telangana, on 26 June 2026 before the scheme became effective.
The scheme transferred all QCIL assets, liabilities and reserves to Aster DM Quality Care and changed the listed company's name from Aster DM Healthcare Limited. Aster DM Quality Care applied the pooling-of-interests method under Indian Accounting Standard 103, or Ind AS 103, Business Combinations, to account for the amalgamation.
How many shares did Aster DM Quality Care issue for QCIL?
Aster DM Quality Care allotted 353,551,410 fully paid equity shares of face value Rs 10 each to former QCIL shareholders on 13 July 2026. The shares were issued under the exchange ratio set out in the scheme to QCIL shareholders on the record date.
The allotment raised paid-up equity share capital by Rs 353.55 crore, to Rs 871.68 crore at 30 September 2026 from Rs 518.13 crore at 30 June 2026. The nominal-capital increase corresponds to the 353.551 million shares issued at Rs 10 each.
Standalone total equity was Rs 7,519.13 crore at 30 September 2026, against Rs 4,366.22 crore at 31 March 2026.
