What projects make up Gabion’s Rs 61.62 crore track record?
Gabion’s disclosed execution record comprises six projects valued from Rs 1.80 crore to Rs 16.30 crore, covering railways, highways, hill roads and an airport. The six entries are dated between February 2023 and October 2026, with Gabion identifying the client, application and disclosed value for each assignment.
The two South Western Railway projects total Rs 14.92 crore and address distinct rail-side requirements. The February 2023 entry concerns vulnerable cuttings on two sections, while the Rs 9.47 crore March 2025 assignment covers rebuilding a side slope and side drains after a landslip between BLT and SKLR stations under Phase II.
Which segments account for the largest disclosed project values?
Highway work accounts for Rs 29.50 crore of the Rs 61.62 crore total, making it the largest segment in Gabion’s six listed projects. That amount combines Rs 13.20 crore for H.G. Infra Engineering’s three NH-130-CD packages and Rs 16.30 crore for Dilip Buildcon’s work on Packages 1, 4 and 7 of the Bengaluru–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
The Rs 16.30 crore Dilip Buildcon assignment is the largest individual project in the list, exceeding the Rs 15.40 crore Border Roads Organisation assignment by Rs 90 lakh. The Border Roads work, listed in December 2025, involves five landslide zones on NH-07 between Joshimath and Mana in Uttarakhand for Project Shivalik of the Ministry of Defence.
Railway assignments contribute Rs 14.92 crore, while the airport project contributes Rs 1.80 crore. The airport work for Shapoorji Pallonji combines rockfall protection and rock nailing at Navi Mumbai International Airport, whereas the highway and hill-road entries are principally described as rockfall, slope or landslide protection works.

How does Gabion move a protection project from bid to completion?
Gabion describes an eight-stage model running from tender sourcing to completion and closure, with technical, financial and cost assessment before an award. Tender opportunities are identified through e-procurement, the Government e-Marketplace, defence portals, newspapers and direct private enquiries; Gabion says it is prequalified to bid independently for government tenders.
After bid submission, Gabion says it provides a technical and financial proposal with an earnest money deposit, then submits a bank guarantee after award. Designs are validated against site conditions, redesigned where needed and may be independently vetted, including by Indian Institutes of Technology. This mechanism is relevant to assignments such as the five-zone NH-07 landslide treatment and the three-package Bengaluru–Vijayawada corridor work, where site-specific slope conditions form part of the stated scope.
During mobilisation, Gabion deploys manpower and machinery and supplies material from its own manufacturing units as well as approved vendors. Its Paonta Sahib facility has 9,200 metric tonnes per annum of certified capacity and its Assam unit has about 5,000 metric tonnes per annum of operational capacity; the Assam facility includes on-site PVC coating for gabions.
The final construction stage includes tested materials, monthly running bills based on verified records and management of variations, according to the presentation. A completion certificate is followed by the return of the guarantee and release of retention after a one- to two-year defect liability period, or DLP, and Gabion says each certificate becomes a technical credential for bidding on larger tenders.
What do Gabion’s design and consultancy assignments show?
Gabion says it has standalone design and engineering orders, separate from product installation, from five named customers as of October 2026. These include Hindalco for slope stability at the Hirakud smelter, NCC for remediation design for a reinforced-earth wall at the Chapra Double Decker Flyover, D.H. Desai for Belgaum–Raichur NH-748A, Rockeira for the Dhasan bridge on North Eastern Railway, and QC Infrastructure for KBNC Package 2C.
The presentation does not disclose values, award dates or delivery status for those five consultancy orders. It does, however, position the work alongside in-house geotechnical design, under which client designs are checked against site conditions and re-engineered where required, rather than treating design solely as a component of material supply.
Gabion also cites external engineering vetting by IIT Guwahati and IIT Bhubaneswar for specified cases. The examples are slope protection at Rangapahar Military Station in Nagaland and embankment protection for the Dhasan river bridge in Madhya Pradesh, providing disclosed examples of the design-verification mechanism applied to protection works.
The product and installation model is supported by a Bureau of Indian Standards licence for IS 16014 gabions and stated conformity with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Section 2500. Gabion describes the combined offering as design, production and installation under one contract, while the October 2026 consultancy list indicates that it also pursues engineering assignments without a stated installation value.
Conclusion
Gabion’s listed projects show a Rs 61.62 crore record spread across six assignments and four infrastructure settings, with highways contributing Rs 29.50 crore and the largest individual entry being the Rs 16.30 crore Dilip Buildcon corridor work. The two railway projects, five-zone defence road work and airport assignment demonstrate that the disclosed scopes extend beyond a single customer type or terrain.
The next disclosed operational points to watch are the planned in-house PVC compound initiative and commissioning of new lines and Nepal capacity. Gabion states that group capacity will reach 18,000 metric tonnes per annum on commissioning, including 3,800 metric tonnes from new lines and Nepal, but the presentation does not give a commissioning date or values for the October 2026 consultancy orders.
