Praruh is testing in-house cybersecurity software for an initial software-as-a-service, or SaaS, rollout to small and medium enterprises while participating in 24 cybersecurity-services tenders. Management has not given a launch date because it is addressing backend vulnerabilities and testing requirements before releasing products in a security-sensitive category.

What is Praruh's SME cybersecurity SaaS strategy?
Praruh plans to address small and medium enterprises first through a SaaS model that combines security software with services. Management said these customers may lack the skilled manpower required to operate security systems, even when they can purchase such products, making a managed offering the initial route for this segment.
Praruh said it is developing security-operations software for different customer sets alongside NeuralOps. For large enterprises and banking, financial services and insurance, or BFSI, customers, management said the commercial model could instead involve an outright product sale with continued service and maintenance. The distinction is based on customers' ability to buy and manage the technology, rather than a disclosed difference in product capability.
Management described the Indian small-enterprise opportunity as more than 12 billion, but did not state the currency, measurement basis or period for that figure. It linked demand to digitisation through artificial intelligence, or AI, and data centres, saying both smaller organisations and large enterprises require security solutions. This was management's assessment of the market, not a revenue projection for Praruh.
Why has Praruh not launched its cybersecurity products?
Praruh has not announced a cybersecurity product launch because its in-house offerings remain under testing, and management said backend vulnerabilities must be secured first. Its research and development team is working on the products, but management said it would not rush an announcement in an area it described as critical. The call gave no completion date, pilot-customer name, pricing or recurring-revenue target.
This position differs from the company's discussion of NeuralOps, which management said would start from January. Management also said it is investing heavily upfront in software through an in-house team and intellectual-property work. It estimated that software could increase profit after tax, or PAT, by at least 5% to 10% in the coming 2027-28 period, without assigning a separate PAT contribution to cybersecurity products.
Praruh's wider aim is to operate more like an original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, by licensing software to other companies, according to management. It said software could account for 20% in upcoming years and potentially 30% or more as its OEM model develops. Those are management aspirations, and the company also acknowledged that software development currently requires heavy expenditure before operating leverage can emerge.
How is Praruh generating cybersecurity opportunities before launch?
Praruh is pursuing cybersecurity business through service delivery, partner technology and tender bids before its own security software is launched. Management said it is participating in 24 tenders related to cybersecurity services and has bid for opportunities involving Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, or ONGC, and RailTel. It expressed hope of winning work but did not disclose bid values, decision dates or probabilities of success.
The company said cybersecurity work can include several domains, such as security operations, monitoring and detection-and-response solutions. That indicates Praruh is addressing more than one type of cybersecurity requirement rather than pursuing a single product category. However, the call did not provide revenue, margin or order-book data for any cybersecurity domain.
Management also cited the Group of 20, or G20, event in 2023 as completed work. It said Praruh supplied cybersecurity products and services for 10 days and monitored the entire G20 network during that assignment. The transcript did not disclose the customer contracting the work, its value, profitability or whether it resulted in later orders.

What do IBM and Splunk add to Praruh's security plan?
IBM and Splunk give Praruh cybersecurity offerings for enterprise customers that require globally recognised solutions. Management said it formed these two OEM relationships specifically for cybersecurity because securing the standards and certifications expected by some customers may take time for a newer player. It described the IBM and Splunk products as widely adopted in the cybersecurity field.
The partnerships give Praruh a route to bid for certain large-enterprise requirements while its first-party cybersecurity products remain in testing. They do not indicate that Praruh's own security software has completed vulnerability testing or entered commercial deployment. Management separated the partner-led enterprise approach from its in-house SaaS plan for small and medium enterprises.
Praruh also discussed WiseBuds and Google as AI partnerships rather than cybersecurity alliances. WiseBuds provides AI and machine-learning platforms, including data-lake and monitoring platforms, under an exclusive sales tie-up, management said. Praruh said it was combining homegrown offerings with Google's AI solutions for use cases on platforms exceeding Rs 200 crore across ministries and two large public-sector undertakings, ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
How does cybersecurity fit Praruh's broader software plan?
Cybersecurity forms part of Praruh's broader move toward software, licensing and OEM-style revenue. Management said NeuralOps and additional software could enable licensing to other companies, while its security-operations products are being designed for different customer groups. It also plans separate enterprise, defence and software teams so each can focus on its respective operations.
The organisation plan sits alongside a more dedicated defence push. Management said defence contributed around 15% to 25% over the past five years and cited data-centre projects for the Indian Navy and Bharat Electronics Limited. It also said Praruh completed optical networks for the Indian Air Force through RailTel, although those disclosures do not establish a cybersecurity revenue contribution from defence.
Management said Praruh was operating at a 13% earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, margin at the time of the call. Its stated potential PAT uplift of at least 5% to 10% in 2027-28 was tied to software generally, not to tender conversions or SME cybersecurity SaaS. No forecast was supplied for cybersecurity revenue, SaaS contracts or recurring annual value.
Conclusion
Praruh's cybersecurity strategy has two tracks: it is testing in-house security-operations software for a future SME SaaS offering while using IBM and Splunk solutions, existing service capability and tender bids to pursue current enterprise and public-sector work. The tangible evidence disclosed is participation in 24 tenders and the 10-day G20 assignment in 2023, rather than a reported cybersecurity revenue run rate.
The next disclosures to watch are completion of vulnerability testing, a first deployment or launch timing for Praruh's in-house products, and outcomes from bids involving ONGC and RailTel. Management's stated software objective also makes its 2027-28 expectation of at least a 5% to 10% PAT increase relevant, although it has not specified how much of that potential uplift could come from cybersecurity.
