Vardhman Textiles is a vertically integrated Indian textile conglomerate manufacturing cotton and synthetic yarns and woven fabrics, operating over 100,000 spindles with large weaving and processing capacities, serving global retailers across the USA, Europe and Asia while expanding into performance and synthetic filament fabric segments through recent commissioning and modernization investments.

Quarterly performance was broadly stable but under pressure: consolidated EBITDA margins were around 15% for the quarter and year-to-date versus 17% last year, with yarn utilization near 95% and fabric utilization about 89–90%, while elevated domestic cotton prices driven by MSP increases and CCI procurement are creating a structural cost disadvantage versus key competing countries.

Management has recently commissioned Vardhman Performance Fabrics and completed capacity expansion at Budhni; these expansions are expected to scale from Q1 of the next financial year, supported by a large modernization capex program (~Rs 1,200 crore) and a dedicated Rs 350 crore investment for 100% synthetic filament fabric production to capture higher-value segments.

Global trade disruptions and US tariff-related sourcing shifts have elongated buyer decision cycles and pressured volumes, prompting active diversification into EU, UK, Australia, Canada and other non-US markets; yarn exports showed an improving trend in December with about 115 million kgs, signalling selective recovery in contamination-free and value-added yarn segments.

Sustainability and energy transition actions are tangible: green power accounted for about 9% of demand and management targets increasing this to roughly 49–50% in FY27, complemented by the Vardhman ReNova fiber recycling plant (6 TPD) that supports recycled yarn production and the company’s broader ESG commitments.
